- Carbo meets the press. Says all the right things, yada yada;
- Carolina now has as many points as the Habs after a win over the Bordeur-less Devils. Sergei Samsonov had TSN's highlight of the night. Maybe he's available as a free agent over the summer.

The Game Day Skate for Thursday, March 19th
Bullet points for what you missed while dreaming of calling in "sick" so you can watch some hoops. I think I may be "sick" tomorrow too...

...How are the Sens this year?
ReplyDeleteBetter than the Habs?
I liked this whole thing better when we knew we sucked coming into the season and would struggle for an eight seed until the last day of the season. I hate these so called "expectations".
ReplyDeleteyeah, expectations suck. I believe that 29 had a bad feeling about this from the start...
ReplyDeleteHeck, I think that I'm starting to be bipolar or something when it comes to the Habs. I'm now kind of sad Carbo got fired, mostly because it looks as though he wasn't the problem. Argh.
Dear Habs - I have enough shit to deal with in my personal/professional life right now. Why must you be messing with me to????
Word verification: blesses. I'm not sure what that means... it is blesses as in religion or blesses as in hurt... hmmm...
^^
ReplyDeleteWow, what a typo... Paging Dr. Panger!
"Why must you be messing with me too???"
to quote a great sage (me) on something i must have said a hundred times even when we were winning earlier this year - "we still haven't played sixty minutes"
ReplyDeletebut also, im just a pessimist at heart. this team is making it easy!
@HF29,
ReplyDeleteBut we played 40 minutes against the Rangers....baby steps and I actually thought they finally came off of life support. But back on the oxygen for the third. Maybe tonight....dare I say it...a full 60? with paramedics on standby of course.
Sens suck, we suck..
ReplyDeleteWhich Suckfest number is this?
I'd love to see us play hard for a full 60 minutes for a change. Haven't seen that in one helluva long time....
I'd love to see us play hard for a full 60 minutes for a change.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with that Don.
I'm going to torture myself and watch those idiots on Sportsnet tonight. Gary Galley is bad, but the play by play guy is Super Homer! I don't know - maybe the RDS guys are homers too, but I only understand about 1 in 10 words so it's all good.
Whoa. This dude is saying EXACTLY what Mr. LG77 said the moment Carbo was hired, but damn... Worth reading, guys!
ReplyDeleteAfter religion and politics, I'm considering disaffiliating from hockey. It sucks up too much of my time. Meh. Habs make me sad.
ReplyDeleteThe last time the Habs played a full 60 minutes was back in November against the Sens (a 3-0 or 4-0 win). We need one of those again.
ReplyDeleteBut what this team is missing is obvious. Every other team in the league, except for the Islanders, has someone that can turn a game around for them at some point. When you need a goal, they're there. When you're down late, you double shift them.
Tampa has Vinnie and St. Louis. Boston has Savard. Ottawa has Alfie, Spezza and Heatley. Atlanta has Kovalchuk. Carolina has Staal. Vancouver has Sundin and Sedins. San Jose has Thorton. Detroit has three lines of those players.
We have Higgins, Koivu and Kovalev.
We don't have a game-changer, and we haven't had one in 20 years or so.
