Ellis posted a .909 save percentage and 2.69 goals against average in 31 games last season with the Preds, while Boyd had 11 goals and 13 assists in 78 games.

Will Sergei explode for a 40 goal season some day? Will it be in the KHL?
How will Andrei react to his brother being gone?

ReplyDeleteEllis is a solid goaltender (numbers are almost identical to TFS's), younger and cheaper than Biron. Boyd fills in for Metro/Moore for what will probably be far less money - and he's still got untapped potential.

but JM is our coach and the two just can't get along. after bad mouthing the halak trade it wasn't hard to figure out that sk74 was a goner.
hopefully bigtits can now fully mature into the player we all want him to be. i'm sure it was tough on him to see his little brother feud with, well, everyone.
i bet sk gets 60-70 points next year. but ak gets 35+ goals.
Just a word of caution: there seems to be a positive, non-zero amount of debate on the tubes vis-à-vis Boyd's status come July 1. It seems that Nashville did NOT tender him a qualifying offer, and as such he would become a UFA on July 1, not an RFA...

@Moey - unfortunately I've never had the chance to find out - the wife's not so keen on sharing the bed with another pair. But I think I speak for all males when I say, you can never have enough. However, in this case A-cup surely had to go, so maybe there's an exception to all rules.
