FHF shakes up its lineup: and then there were five (er, three sir!) three

Montreal (AP/CP) - In a move destined to stun the blogging world, today the popular "weblog" Four Habs Fans announced via press release that it had traded away the rights to Habs "Le gros Bill" Fan4 to Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the Kontinental Hockey Legaue. In exchange, the FHF receives the rights to moe "The Rocket" man, the long-time minor leaguer who has finally earned a spot with the big club.

"This is both a sad day and an exciting one," said Habs "TMS" Fan29. "While we are disappointed in having to lose a blogger with the skills of HF4, the grit and work ethic that moeman has brought to the blog over the years deserved to be rewarded. We felt he could bring a lot to the table for the important blogging stretch drive."

moeman has brought his wit and steady presence to the comments for almost the entire run of FHF. Recently, he was offered a guest spot bringing his humourous parodies to the front page. In this role he has excelled, and FHF management felt that as a full time member he would be able to help keep FHF at or near the top of the Habosphere's tough Northeast division.

"I know the fans will be sad to see HF4 go, but you have to give up something to get something," said Mr. Fan29. "I'm sure the great and loyal fans of FHF will come to recognize the importance of this deal for the long-term health of the franchise."

When asked to comment on the shakeup, long-time FHF commentor gillis said "meh."

Ed.'s (well, mine) note - in all seriousness (ha!), it is no joke that HabsFan4 has decided to move on and moeman is stepping up to do his best to fill the void. No one blogs at the same place forever (just ask the MYFO guys) so it's actually pretty impressive the original four of us have stayed together so long. We thank 4 for his years of service and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours.
