FHF Foot Monday - Could Have Been Worse

RDS reports that yes, Koivu's foot is broken. More tests tomorrow, then we'll have a better idea how long. On the good front, Streit is OK and will be back in the lineup tomorrow. Whew. One less chance for Breezer to play. Bouillon sees the doctor later today, no word on his severity. DOOM even skated today.

    Let's hope Koivu gets back soon. Koivu has been so-so this season but we really need him for the playoffs. The game against the Leafs on Saturday looked eerily similar to what I saw from the Habs when Koivu went down during the Carolina series. They seemed lost, especially after the first line.
    If the Habs are to have any chance in the playoffs we need everyone back. The centre position is the weakest position on the team so losing Koivu really hurts.
