I've dragged my ass out of bed early to try to keep this streak alive - Leafs Game Preview and Open Thread

Over a quarter million results for Marisa in Google Image search. The streak can go on for a while, knock wood.

Wake the fuck up motherfuckers! I can barely see for the hangover in my head but I've dragged my sorry ass to my laptop to try to replicate the conditions of the Game Day Skate. All in hopes of helping the Fucking Habs. Lots of East action last night, with the Panthers losing but the Flyers and the won't-go-away Sabres winning. Habs still in 7th.

I am not looking forward to this game tonight. Toronto has given us fits all year, and we need this one. Have you checked the schedule for the rest of the season? Four games in six nights with the Bruins and Pens in the mix. Blech. We need these two points tonight. Yeah yeah, I guess we need two points every night. STFU. Now let's set this baby up with the bullets:
  • 7 PM start at the ACC, of course it's on CBC;
  • Habs on a 4-0-1 run, while the Leafs have lost 3 of 4;
  • Leafs have taken 3 of 5 from the Habs this year, including the last one which was the bottom of the barrel for the Fucking Habs, spawning the post-game headline from me "Fuck this fucking team";
  • Let's check in with Pension Plan Puppets one last time;
  • Kovy, Koivu, Tangy, Markov, 'nuff said;
  • ZombiePleks, 'nuff said;
  • Good 'ol Grabs has 10 points over his last 6 games;
  • Any Leafs goalie is on the cold list, especially after getting embarrassed 8-5 last night;
  • It looks like Halak will go again. Rumour has Big Tits either not playing because of a cut sustained in the Isles game, or a healthy scratch because of sucking;
  • For your post-game adult entertainment, if you didn't follow the link yesterday from the greatest anonymous commentor ever who gave us the Marisa Miller nude video, you'll want to do it. You won't regret it.
Please hold off on your Leafs Suck comments until after the game. We don't want to jinx anything. Unless you're a Leafs fan, in which case go ahead.

  3. I've been doing research, mostly because I'm a loser but also because numbers and stats get me all hot.

With 5 games left last season the Habs had 96 pts. That's 6 more than they have now. They ended up winning 4/5 to end the season and clinch 1st in the East with 104 pts. Boston already has 110 now, Washington 102 and NJ 100.

If the Habs win all 5 remaining games (big IF, but just follow me here), they would end with 100 pts (-4 from last season). Without knowing the point total, would anyone agree that the Habs' performance this season is that close to what they did last year? One could argue that there was more parity in the East last season and with the lopsided schedule (playing your division 8 times), so they had to be better to earn those 104 points. But I think they had to be good enough this season to get points from SJ, Detroit, Calgary, Vancouver and Chicago.

Basically, I'm confused. #1 PP to ruins, #1 offence to middle of the pack, inconsistant goaltending, injuries and this goddamn flu up the wazoo this year, and yet they're not doing that badly relatively. Remember, they had to win 7/8 games to end the season last year to finish 1st. If they had the 96 pts they had last year at this point, they'd be in 4th, but only 7 pts out of 8th.

In other numbers news, now I'm scared of the Canadiens moving into 6th and facing the Devils in the first round. I think we can all agree that would be the worst case scenerio. What team would you guys prefer they face? I vote for the Caps because a) I think they can take them; and b) I wouldn't mind seeing Ovie.

I'd like for New York to meet NJ. There's some kind of weird voodoo going on there. New York isn't susceptible to NJ's awesomeness for some reason. Maybe the Rags can knock off the Devils in the first round.

As for the Habs... Boston or the Caps. Maybe Philly. I'm scared of the Whalers, Penguins and Devils. There's no way the Habbies meet the Rags in round 1, but I wouldn't mind that match up.

i'm scared of everyone at this point. i think i would like the Caps just from an entertainment standpoint though

  6. I'll enjoy one final beating of the Habs before the summer.

Good luck in the playoffs, mates.

  8. YYYYYEEEEAAAUUUUGGGHHHHHRRRRRNNNNNN

In the middle of a drunken conversation with a Canucks fan friend of mine last night, he glances over to Sportscentre Leafs/Flyers highlights and exclaims "fuck, I love Grabovski"

It took a lot for me not to punch him.

I just hope we play the Bruins.
Either way I'll be in China from April 15th till May 3rd.... It's not like I'll get to see the Habs in the playoffs this year

    ReplyDelete
  9. @ Van Hab - awesome post. Would have made you wake up feeling brand new if you did strike him though. Who loves Grabovski? He is our sloppy seconds (I think the tits bros had their way with him a la deliverance) Sorry for the image. I'm traumatized also.

@ Eyebleaf you're in for it like a shark cruising around China tonight.

Tonight is going to be a straight up fucking bitchslap beatdown. I have no fears. Nobody else should. We have a team full of professional athletes who haven't forgot the last two games against the leafs. We are faster, stronger and more talented and it comes out tonight. I already put my posting rights on the line....I'll even say I will never watch that video that Anon posted yesterday of Marissa's nude shoot. I'm gambling the whole farm here. Oh those pink nipples.

"I'll even say I will never watch that video that Anon posted yesterday of Marissa's nude shoot."

Are you sure about that? I think you might want to wager your soul instead, it'll hurt less.

    @ eyebleaf
Freakishly, I kinda respect the Leafs and their fans for this season. You guys knew that you were going to suck ass and be in the top 5 for Tavares, but decided "ah fuck it, let's just play and have fun!". Nice display of heart from a team that's used to mailing it in every season. Kinda reminds me of the mid-90s Habs.

I'm still pissed that you guys have beaten us 3 times this season, though. And Grabovski is still a lil' bitch.

    @ Van Hab
If he had added "Sundin, too. Love that guy," I think most juries would acquit you of his murder.

  15. Some leaf lovin' lying sack of loose shit on tsn just said "the've been calling them the AKA line". Um, who might 'they' be you fucking blue&white lapping putz? (The media sack then proceeds to give burke an on-air hummer, go figure).

Anywhoo, putting my multi-decade of leaf hate aside, I thought, considering their hotness, that the Habs' top line could use the moniker The OLÉ Line. Worth celebrating at the top of our lungs, when things are going great.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Right now, the Habs are playing real good hockey right now and they have to be playing playoff-type of hockey for the remainder of the season. I hope, for fuck's sakes, they don't get their fucking egos too damn large just because of a five-game unbeaten streak. Holy shit, if they lose again to the fondled-mercilessly-by-the-Pension-Plan Leafs, I will have every fucking reason to jump on a plane and smash these punks in the face. They ain't won a damn thing at all.

Now, I know how much you hairy monkey chokers have fallen all over yourselves with the insanely gorgeous and crotch-wrecking Marisa Miller.

    I can top that.

    You're welcome, assholes.

    Go you fucking Habs!

I hope Anon keeps posting these. I like very much.

AKA line? That doesn't even make sense, you TSN morons. Alex is a first name, Koivu is a last name.

    Idiots.

OLÉ line has potential. Free Wings Line also makes sense, though it's a bit wordy... FW line? It's short and self-explanatory.

  45. Apologies Baroque, just razzin' ya.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Baroque - just semantics. I think MILF has entered the lexicon of all attractive experienced women. But my definition depends on hockey team affiliation - a Habs fan loses a few notches for me. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  49. Just wait, bkblades -

Montreal may very well follow an earlier game plan.

"Play hard for approximately 27 minutes, then try to hang on for dear life until the end of the game while the goaltender is being worn out."

It didn't work very well, but they trot it out from time to time to give it another go. Persistent little cusses, those Canadiens.

    ReplyDelete
  50. @ jaybird

A relax is probably in order, but I know you'll twist it around to make another pro-Habs rant. That's cool, as I am just a guest from enemy lines. But I'll enjoy the game, regardless of outcome, either way.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Lotsa minutes left to play. PHI spotted the zombieleaf 6 goals last night.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Thanks for the clarification, bkblades - I'm too old (39) to be up on all the acronyms.

And Montreal is one of the Eastern conference teams I follow - my primary team is the Red Wings. That probably makes it worse, but too bad - I'm sorry. :)

And I didn't take offense, moeman - I just wasn't sure if you were confusing me with someone else.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Daniel PlainviewApril 04, 2009 7:40 pm

these CBC twats are getting on my nerves but I need a rest from Brunet fucktard.

    ReplyDelete
  54. At least it isn't Marc Crawford doing the commentating - he gets the later games.

He is so horrible it makes my ears bleed waiting for him to actually complete a coherent sentence. Good lord.

I like the voice on the "great save, Luongo!" guy, though.

    ReplyDelete
  55. @ moeman

To be fair, the Flyers have a wee bit of a goaltending problem, too. Like the Habs. Like the Leafs. Hell, like 85% of the NHL.

    @ baroque

Oh, I'm well aware of your Red Wings affiliation. But since the Leafs so rarely sees the team anymore, it's like they don't exist. Your visits to ppp help with fit you into whatever "young" moniker we can think of.

    ReplyDelete
  56. @DPlain, does hnic have Hughson or bobcole doing the game? Who is being the typical cbc wad tonight?

Word Verif = jacto, as in I'm jacto hear what cherry will say about the all-Euro leaf starting line tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  57. My love for Pierre Houde can usually overcome any of my Brunet hate. I actually only hear a noise that sounds like Charlie Brown's teacher whenever he starts to speak...

I loathe the CBC for hockey, especially on nights vs. the Leafs. Nothing could make me change the channel right now. The only one who could try (Mr. LG77) is asleep right now. Heh. I yell every time the Habs score a goal, but he's still in snoozieland.

Meh. Means more pizza for me... *reaches for slice of pizza, swig of beer*

    ReplyDelete
  58. @bkb, biron had his way with our Habs in last year's playoffs.

Word Verif = hurve, as in brunet hasn't made me hurve yet

    ReplyDelete
  59. heh, leaf gang up on BGL. It'll be fun listening to wilsonburke defend that.

    ReplyDelete
  60. moeman - you spoke too soon. His defence of Kubina is ridiculous...

    ReplyDelete
  61. Trust me, Jim Hughson calling the Leafs games aren't making us feel any better, too.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Did our lg77 sprinkle some benzodiazepine in Mr. LG's bière?

    ReplyDelete
  63. @ bkblades -

I thought I recognized your moniker, but I'm beyond shitty with names even when I have a face to connect with it - I often have an even tricker time keeping screen names straight. (And I didn't want to seem like a total dork by acting like I knew who you were, when I really didn't.) :)

It's like the east and west are two different leagues. It's nice to have blogs for a fan to keep in touch, at least a little bit.

    ReplyDelete
  64. moeman - now why would I do that?? *innocent whistling*

    ReplyDelete
  65. Is Jim Hughson the "great save, Luongo!" guy?

He cracks me up when he's doing Vancouver games. He has such a low bar for a great save because I think he just loves saying it so much.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Decent 1st. Hope da boys crank up the intensity a notCH.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Jim Hughson is the guy who has fallen in love with Vancouver and Luonguo especially. His constant jibe remarks against the Leafs are grating, but even more annoying is his inability to call the game right in front of him. Makes some of the most obvious observations, or just downright inaccurate calls and/or absurd outrages.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Islanders leading Tampa 1-0.

That must be a tanktastic game.

    ReplyDelete
  69. How did Harrison take that shot? I watch a lot of boxing and he took that right on the button. I had to rewind a few times to see how many degress his head turned. What a tough hombre!!!

@ bk - I'm no more excited than usual. I get all full of maple syrup and vinegar at gametime Saturday. I just don't like useless stats. Thank god hockey usually doesn't have them thrown in your face like any NFL game.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Eep! Michigan State leading UConn - Go Green!

(Now I'm worried that they will start losing since I flipped over to check the score.)

    ReplyDelete
  71. Baroque - The Battle of the Bottom Feeders. Nice. I wonder whether they had to give away tix for that game...

    ReplyDelete
  72. @ jaybird

Hockey loves useless stats - the +/- comes to mind. Oh no worries about how you react to a random statistic I brought up - no use getting worked up about anything, aside from your team. When the Leafs routinely don't make the playoffs, it's just a wonder why we don't play the same way when the other team doesn't have the "CH" in front of their jerseys. It's the small, largely irrelevant victories I try to grasp lately.

    ReplyDelete
  73. ^^That wasn't about the March Madness game - about the Isles vs. Tampa!

    ReplyDelete
  74. "It's the small, largely irrelevant victories I try to grasp lately."

bkblades - welcome to my nightmare in the late 90's. *shudder*

    ReplyDelete
  75. @bkb, with all due respect, Bob Cole is the guy who has fallen in love with Toronto and Joseph especially. His constant jibe remarks against any leaf opponent are grating, but even more annoying is his inability to call the game right in front of him. Makes some of the most obvious observations, or just downright inaccurate calls and/or absurd outrages. Plus not even bothering to get a player's name right and resorting to naming the opposing goalie, 'the goalie'. Felt your pain, for decades.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I'm out, guys and hot pieces of asses gals. If these vacillating punks who call themselves the Habs get out of TO with a win, I'll post something...

If they lose this game they're supposed to fucking win, I'll just shoot the neighbor's dog and piss on its remains.

So pray for the dog's life that the Habs win.

    ReplyDelete
  77. @ lawyergirl -

    Oh, I know.

And I'm not a basketball fan at all, or a college basketball fan - no brackets or anything - but I like to cheer for a local underdog that no one is picking to win.

Especially since two of my siblings did post-secondary schooling at MSU, so I cheer for schools in the family.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Stupid Flyers. They should have saved some of the goals they scored last game - they need them against Ottawa.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Is Bouillon Cube still out of sorts? Breezer needs to retire.

    ReplyDelete
  80. @moeman

Bob Cole at least was subtle with his jibes against the opponents. Hughson doesn't make any secrets of the Leafs problems. And when the Leafs didn't make the playoffs in the 1980s or the Canada Cups he got to call, Cole was a pleasure to watch and listen. And for all his faults, Cole doesn't get outraged when a fight breaks out like Hughson does, as if it's the end of the world. Check out Hughson's call on Stu Grimson in the infamous Leafs-Blackhawks brawl. But hey, different strokes for different folks - I can only imagine the Habs misery of watching a horrid Leafs team broadcast every Saturday night.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Anon - I usually enjoy backing over a bunch of fluffy cute widdle kittens when we lose. But, you know, to each his/her own!!

Baroque - I totally understand and respect that as an approach to March Madness! I used to watch it religiously, then I graduated from college and had to go to work. Fucking work. Gets in the way of my sports obsessions. I don't even know who's in the final four this year.

    PENALTY SHOT FOR GUI!!! WOOOO

    ReplyDelete
  82. Penalty shot for Lantendresse?

    ReplyDelete
  83. @bkb, the only hockey moment cole ever truly mastered was Lemieux's Canada Cup winning goal.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Daniel - Gui has actually been much quicker in terms of game speed this year, at least until he went down with his injury. I used to be deeply meh about him, but he's developing into an interesting player.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Daniel PlainviewApril 04, 2009 8:23 pm

    I think that's right.

If a school I know wasn't in it, I wouldn't even know that much. Tom Izzo so deserves all the accolades he receives - I'm not surprised that his name keeps coming up in coaching rumours, but he won't leave MSU. He has built a hell of a program there, and is loved very much.

8 point lead for MSU with under two minutes left.

Whoops! I missed a Montreal goal.

    Word verif: wings. Mmmmm, wings.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I've seen penalties called for less than that. Officials missed one.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Daniel - it's pretty surprising, eh? I'm not sure he'd win a footrace, but he's got good game speed. Much like Dandenault.

God, is it wrong that I want to re-sign everyone for next year? No? Okay... BUt seriously, I will be really bummed if Kovy, Koivu, Tangy, Dandy and Higgy leave. :(

    ReplyDelete
  99. Despite the garbage non-call on the goalie interference by Plekanac, the Habs have outworked the Leafs all night. They've been getting all the loose pucks and winning all the battles. The 4-0 score is probably just.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Come on, guys - GET MOMMA SOME CHICKEN WINGS OFFA DEES BASTARDS!!

    ReplyDelete
  101. @lg77

Kovalev's shelf-life looks like it's done. But the Habs surely need to re-sign Tanguay though and Koivu at least to ease in the young guys coming up? That sounded really dirty.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Daniel PlainviewApril 04, 2009 8:31 pm

yeah run these fuckers out of their own building.

    ReplyDelete
  103. @bkb, I disagree, methinks Kovy can still knock lotsa wood in a Habs jersey.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Daniel PlainviewApril 04, 2009 8:32 pm

yeah bkblades, Kovalev definitely looks finished.

    ReplyDelete
  105. bkb - I used to say when Kovy sucked in the regular season that he would rule the rink in the playoffs. I think that he might get re-signed if the Habs do better than the first round in the playoffs. I'm not sure that he's *that* done yet... even though I used to think so.

But if they don't sign my Saku and Tanguay I'll be REALLY crushed. :(

    ReplyDelete
  106. Beat Kansas in the Sweet Sixteen after trailing by 13 points, beat Louisville (number one seed in the tournament) to get to the Final Four, and now leading UConn by seven points with thirty seconds to go.

  108. Daniel/moeman - I think that Kovy needs to readjust to the fact that, in hockey terms, he's a fucking OLD MAN. He needs to adjust his game and that's what he was trying to do this year. He can't pull off all the dipsy-doodling that he used to do because he's not as fast and strong as he was in his prime.

he seems to have finally understood this... I hope.

Holy shit - NO TURNOVERS for the Habs in the 1st? Be still my beating heart!!

    ReplyDelete
  109. Grabovski looks like a douche bag. Hope someone runs him through the boards.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Breezer should be made into penicillin.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Rips it, scores!April 04, 2009 8:37 pm

Schneider out for the rest of the game with an upper body injury, according to a Habs communique on CJAD.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Daniel PlainviewApril 04, 2009 8:37 pm

    Grabitchski IS a douchebag.

    ReplyDelete
  113. 82 to 73. Michigan State advances to the championship game. Bloody hell.

    Wow. So awesome.

    *shakes head in amazement*

Okay, now back to hockey stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Daniel PlainviewApril 04, 2009 8:38 pm

so is everyone still saying that Saku and Kovy still hate each other.

    fuck that tabloid shit.

    ReplyDelete
  115. FUCK! Schneider has an upper body injury after that bullshit hit from May. Fuckitty fuck fuck.

Yes, i rag on him because he's, shall we say, prone to brain farts on D, but he's a big part of the reason why our powerplay is working lately...

    ReplyDelete
  116. I don't think the Leafs know the game has started yet. Hopefully there are nice looking girls in the crowd - Halak has time to ogle, it's not like he's busy.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Fuck, Pleky just made it onto the scoresheet. Stupid penalty.

  119. Hey bkb - I see you over at the globe and mail! Heh.

    ReplyDelete
  120. @bkb, les belles femmes sont à Montréal.

    ReplyDelete
  121. @lg77

I see you're in the liveblog at the globe. Know this about Shoalts: he penned an article about the "Brian Burke" twitter not being the real Burke and being very offended, as to getting a quote from Burke himself about it.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Moeman - as witnessed by Ovie during the ASG. That clip still cracks me up!

    ReplyDelete
  123. BGL better pound May into the ice after the hit on Schneider

    ReplyDelete
  124. "Canadiens may have taken their foot off the gas a little bit."

Okay, then - time to start punting virtual kittens!

    ReplyDelete
  125. bkb - Yeah, I know about Shoalts. I read the globe daily (and I've got friends on staff). He's getting his yayas out by trashing me. Evs.

    ReplyDelete
  126. I'm starting to think that all news organizations should have a young man or woman on staff purely as a "current technology awareness person." They could make sure the old men know what Twitter is and how to tell that a feed is a parody or not (for example, if it says "yes, this is a parody" on the bio).

I miss the fake Brian Burke twitter updates. :(

    ReplyDelete
  127. Shoalts gets his yayas out by becoming the new Leafs basher. It comes with the territory of getting readership. Though this game is giving him plenty of ammo. Sigh.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Awwwww. What a cute kitty.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Baroque - cute overload owns my soul. Especially when they post things like this!!!! *dies*

    ReplyDelete
  130. bkb - yes, but he's bashing everything BUT the Leafs actual game right now. The stupid skits, the in-game commentators... Very odd. I mean, Boone stopped bitching about the Marché Express thing at the Bell Center after a few games - why is Shoalts still obsessing about irrelevant stuff?

Oh wait, I know the answer... Heh. Nevermind...

    ReplyDelete
  131. I was unaware of that site.

    Now remedied.

It reminds me I have to get online and order a new rabbit cage, so I can adopt a bonded pair of bunnies that have been at a shelter where my sister volunteers since September, poor babies.

I used to have a couple of rabbits, but they were in separate cages because they didn't get along. I need a big cage so they can share space.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Did someone say kitties? Time for happy cat!

    Habs are happy I'm sure

Shoalts, like the Leafs, makes me very sad this season. Brutal really.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Nice tip by the rookie.

    Bad turnover by Halak.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Daniel PlainviewApril 04, 2009 9:09 pm

fuck fuck fuck fuck finish these fucks.

    ReplyDelete
  135. bkb - why am I suddenly craving a cheezburger??

And Baroque - sniffle sniffle for the poor widdle bunnies. :(

FUCKING LEAFS. I was hoping that halak would get a shutout.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Rips it, scores!April 04, 2009 9:10 pm

    There goes the shutout. Dagnabbit,

    ReplyDelete
  137. Cue the collapse?

    The two happenings are simultaneous.

    ReplyDelete
  138. @ lg -

I know! Their names are Popcorn and Peanut, and the problem is that often someone wants only one bunny, and the shelter policy is to keep bonded pairs together, so they have to be adopted by the same person.

I've seen the pictures, and they are so sweet.

    ReplyDelete
  139. CHICKEN WIIIIIINGS!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  140. Umm, guess I'm holding that cue for comeback for another season.

    ReplyDelete
  141. lg77, go console Shoalts, he must be feeling lonely.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Daniel PlainviewApril 04, 2009 9:16 pm

    fuck these fucks

    ReplyDelete
  143. Rips it, scores!April 04, 2009 9:16 pm

    Woo-hoo, 5-1!

In other news, Shoalts is mongtastic.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Baroque - you must post pictures of the cutie pies, yes?! I love bunnies... Did you see the cuteness over at CO in the bunnies section?

I would post another link, but I think it might break 29's heart when he gets back and see that we're no longer linking to pictures of hot chicks, but rather bunnies and kitties.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Daniel PlainviewApril 04, 2009 9:19 pm

    score again on these fucks

    ReplyDelete
  146. For hf29, http://tinyurl.com/d7ahz9

    ReplyDelete
  147. Just told Shoalts that habs fans aren't being complacent, just saving our energy for hockey in mid-to-late April... And then I made a dig about not being able to describe the feeling to people who haven't been there in a while.

I sincerely doubt he's going to post it. Heh.

    WOOOOOOOOOOO SIX BABY!!!

    ReplyDelete
  148. Rips it, scores!April 04, 2009 9:20 pm

    We want 7!!!

    ReplyDelete
  149. Daniel - Georges answered your wish!

    ReplyDelete
  150. The only question remains: will the Habs score the touchdown tonight? Gag me.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Daniel PlainviewApril 04, 2009 9:25 pm

there's still time to score a few more on these fucks.

    ReplyDelete
  152. @bkb, you wanna be gagged with a bunny or a kitten?

    ReplyDelete
  153. bkb - once we get the chicken wing goal, it's all gravy.

    My condolences.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Another power play goal. Wow.

29 will get over it - besides, guys like cute animals, too (if for no other reason than using a puppy as a chic magnet).

Bunnies really are the best pets if you have a very small house (as I do) and you have a lot of things that a cat or dog could destroy or get tangled in (like books and balls of yarn). They are so quiet, too.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Rips it, scores!April 04, 2009 9:27 pm

What happened? Did Grabovski hit markov?

    ReplyDelete
  156. grabovskank looks like a Hanson.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Holy Shit - Dandy is fighting Grabitchski!! Woo hoo!!! Go El Dandy!

Seriously, though, Grabby looks like SUCH a girl... Which is insulting to women everywhere, but there you go.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Well, I might just be gagged by the hatred the Habs are spewing out with Grabo's latest hit.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Baroque - yes, but the bunnies I've had have been shit machines, and not at all cuddly. I love my stupid cuddleslut of a cat, even if he starts chewing/tearing shit up.

And Moeman - YES HE DOES! +1

    ReplyDelete
  160. Fuck - Tangy that sucks. Oh well.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Fuck, Markov is now gone too. Uh oh.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Grabovski has very fluffy hair. I wonder if he has the same problems with static electricity as I do?

I once shot a 6" spark from my hip into a stairway railing - it tingled just as much as you might think it would, and my entire hip area went numb for a bit.

    Whoops.

    ReplyDelete
  163. What's the point of Laraque?

Markov gets boarded while he's on the ice and he does nothing.

What does he think exactly? That he's on there to score goals?

    ReplyDelete
  164. Devereaux gets the shortie. Well, at least the Leafs are tied 1-1 in the SHG department with the Habs...Victory!

    ReplyDelete
  165. Wow - we were REALLY missing Markov and Schneider on that PP... Scary to see.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Daniel PlainviewApril 04, 2009 9:33 pm

    I love my cats to.

    ReplyDelete
  167. @Baroque, at least the underwire kept you grounded.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Boob -yes, he does. It has been his problem all year. He no longer knows his role. Poor Pebbles.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Daniel PlainviewApril 04, 2009 9:34 pm

    fuck these cunt motherfuckers

    ReplyDelete
  170. Yo, I can't believe that Mr. LG77 has slept through the ENTIRE game!!

And I can't believe I ate all that pizza... my tummy feels funny...

    ReplyDelete
  171. Someone just needs to brush Grabovski's hair. It's very unlike Scott Hartnell's dirty mop of a hair - not been cut for half a year, and not been washed for that long too, I gather.

    ReplyDelete
  172. @ LG -

I've had two bunnies, and they were both adorable.

One of them was a rescue from some people who were moving to California, and figured that if no one took him they would just have him put to sleep. He would hop up in my lap when I was studying and bump his little head into my hand until I scratched him between the ears.

The other was the only survivor of a shipment to a pet store that got delayed a couple days, and he was so cuddle-friendly that you had to pick him up and move him from your lap if you wanted to get up. You could pet him all day and he wouldn't move.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Darn, the Whale and the Pens are headed to OT. Damn 3 point games.

    Veri word: prook
    Grabitchski is such a prook.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Grabovski does need a good brush - and I hope he conditions properly, too. That helps.

    @ moeman -

    Yes, 'twas fortunate. :)

    ReplyDelete
  175. Daniel PlainviewApril 04, 2009 9:41 pm

    Grabitchski is a cunt.

    I hope Markov is ok.

    ReplyDelete
  176. Four points for Kovalev.

I hope that Markov and Schneider are okay.

    ReplyDelete
  177. If Markov is NOT OK, then this team is in trouble. Not as much trouble as we would have been in about a month ago, but it still ain't pretty... Here's hoping he's okay. I'd touch wood but Mr. LG77 is out cold and I'm anatomically challenged in that department. Moe?

    ReplyDelete
  178. A nice score. Kovy is da man. I doubt he plays this way with Carbo behind the benCH. This game thread has been fun boys and gals.

    ReplyDelete
  179. Goodnight, peoples. Pleasant dreams, of hot chicks or cute animals, whatever.

(And here's hoping that no bad dreams result from eating too much pizza.) :)

    ReplyDelete
  180. Won't delve too much into Grabs hit on Markov, since I rather thought he got more shoulder than anything else. But in either case, the Leafs were beat out in every aspect of the game and deserved to lose. Thanks for the night, boys and girls. I'll see if I can find a drink hard enough to forget this one. I'm not confident I will, so much consternation will be had the rest of the day. Regards.

    ReplyDelete
  181. Third time lucky wood has been knocked.

    ReplyDelete
  182. You know all those pricks who said Gainey doesn't have a clue? Rejean Tremblay. Jack Todd. Michel Blanchard. Mike Boone.

Are they penning their mea culpas for the Monday edition of their shitty little rags?

    Didn't think so.

    ReplyDelete
  183. Boob - I don't think that they know what mea culpa means.

BG's a great coach. I just wish he had signed a few more of his free agents, 'cause now we're going to have a problem at the end of this season. I think he's a good GM, but there are certain things he's done that are big head scratchers...

    ReplyDelete
  184. That was just too easy. Bring on a real opponent. We're rolling big time. I'm still allowed to post!

@ bk. I have to admit you are definitely a leafs fan. Bob Cole had great calls in the past but now is a complete alcoholic who doesn't know which way is up and has lost all contact with the game. Only a leafs fan would enjoy his babbling and wouldn't notice he doesn't know ten players on the other team.

Kovalev's shelf life is up? Another pure Toronto comment based on media exposure. He is our best player besides Markov and dominates in playoffs. I would say that too if my team's best player was Ponikarovski. Jealous much? Player hater lol

    ReplyDelete
  185. And,
I'm pouring out a little Molson Canadian and saying a prayer for Marky and Schneider. If I had some blow I would sprinkle some in a voodoo tribute around my fireplace praying to the hockey gods. If they are gone, sigh, we are gone.

Halak says "Jagshemash...du yu lyke me?

    ReplyDelete
  186. Did you guys see Avery's hit on Tim Thomas? Heh - he went ape shit!!
