- 3 in a row? Really? I guess so. Habs beat the Sens 4-1, all thanks to Jaro and his meny meny save. Pleks helped out with 3 helpers. The PK was on the ice all game and didn't let up a goal. Over .500!
- Peter Laviolette gets his first win as Flyers coach;
- Some guy named Saku gets the OT winner for the Ducks.

WV = pievo, as in the word pie contains the word pie, who doesn't love pie!?
So after watchig the video highlights, is it just me or do you think the guys on Sportsnet would have been more excited if the Sens had won?
ReplyDeletewv - moffess - as in come on you MOFFESS, start calling the games with equal partisanship!

ReplyDelete@Kmaxx
ReplyDeleteThe guys on Sportsnet are trying to re-create the atmosphere on TSN (Toronto Sports Network) for the Leaves.
l'Artiste is a great talent but I don't miss watching him play games like last night.
random thought: How much does the guy who counts a players' icetime get paid?
ReplyDelete@Moe
ReplyDeleteBR?? I'm not wearing my glasses. I guess he enjoys being part if this country when it suits his purpose. Who took it from him? Parizeau?
Man, we're approaching the half-way point of the season, and yet, I still can't get over how wrong I think Saku looks in a Ducks jersey.
ReplyDelete@gillis:
ReplyDelete$12/hour - seriously. I know a guy who works for a company in Halifax and that's his job. Well, not just that specifically. He watches different sports and collects different stats depending on the night he's working. The company (can't remember the name) has a contract with all the major leagues and is given certain games every night to gather data for.
So one night he might be counting ice time of certain players and the next night he might be doing just PK minutes in some games as well as keeping track of shots and field goal %age in some NBA games.
I don't know if these are the official stats we see in boxscores etc, but it wouldn't make sense to collect them otherwise.
Don't forget to check out the Centennial Game "Worn Jerseys" AUCTION C'mon people! Poor Moen and Spacek getting no love!
ReplyDeleteAnon re: Saku - you and me both...
ReplyDelete@GG, yup the one and only pure Bert. Also, maybe clip the pic and make some tiny bertheads for a future BRatings post. Whilst here is berthead worthy of/for the glossary?
ReplyDeleteMy boy Saku, the son I never had. Come home! You can wear my Koivu jersey *sniff*.
