"Ladies and gentlemen, on stage for your dancing pleasure, the Chicago Blackhawks" - Game Preview and Open Thread

Well the uniform is American, but the actress is Canadian, so it balances out.

Waiting in line details - 7:30 PM start at the Phone Booth. It's on TSN. The game will be preceded by an Original Six ceremony with Hull, Mikita, and Tony Espo in the house. Nice, but I'm sure TSN viewers won't see it. Habs looking for points in their 6th straight. Hawks have lost five straight.

Pay your cover charge to - Second City Hockey. Unfortunately, my favourite Chicago hockey blog, Kill Bill Wirtz, has been less than busy since, you know, Bill Wirtz actually died.

Hot sexy Habs to watch - Big Tits baby! Four goals in his last 3 games. Pleks has 7 points in his last 3. Kovy continues to be the steady offensive force and hard worker we have seen for years. Heh.

Hot sexy Hawks to watch - Martin Havlat has 11 points in his last 13 games.

Skanky Habs to watch - anyone on the ice in the second period.

Skanky Hawks to watch or look for in the press box - man, I almost feel bad for them. Jonathan Toews went down 4 games ago to add to a long list of injured Hawks (6 other regulars). Meanwhile, Patrick Kane, while still leading all rookie scorers, has only 2 goals in his last 24 games.

Habs roster notes - Price has a "virus," so Halak has hit the 401 to come in as Huet's backup. But most importantly, Breezer is back! Woohoo! It's gonna be awesome! /sarcasm

Post-game adult entertainment - here's a shoutout to Toronto Habs Fans Gord, Jeff, Eric, and Allan who have come in for the game and some post-game adult entertainment with yours truly as guide. They'll have ticket stubs, so free beers at Downtown!

K let's hear your dirty, dirty thoughts in the comments.

Gah! Only one comment an hour before the game? We're fucked!!

(No, I'm not superstitious at all... why d'you ask??)

Here's hope we don't continue our habit of playing down to our shittier opponents' levels. *shudder*

Chicago's not really BAD, just young, in much the same way the Habs are, only moreso, and without the goaltending. So okay, they're kind of bad. But they're better than Washington or Florida, anyways.

Well, they looked pretty bad there. Just don't tell the Habs that, they seem to think they're playing a good team.

Gorges looked good tonight. i'm secretly hoping for another breezer injury so that he gets more time (preferably with hamr) even though i haven't been anti-breezer this year

29, not wrong. I never said that we lose when comments <= 40. I said that we win when comments >= 30.

The theory still holds.
