1) The Isle's job is going to go to someone like Gordon who is an AHL prodigy. This way the isles won't have someone who has more NHL experience than their backup goalie turned GM.
2) Gordon will more easily put up with the plan to rebuild(suck) than a Tortorella, Quenville or Hartley would
