The Morning Skate for Wednesday, October 22nd

Bullet points for what you missed while dreaming of a mistrial...
  • Leaves' coach Ron Wilson goes with the old "change the goalie for the shootout" strategy and it works as well as you would expect - Ducks beat Tronna;
  • Minnesota Star-Tribune is reporting that Wild GM Doug Risebrough is actively shopping Marian Gaborik, and that includes talk with the Habs. Upon hearing the news, Gaborik broke an ankle;
  • The Mullet finally wins a game.
Day 2 of the week off. This is gonna get painful.

Trade rumour has Gaborik going to the Habs in exchange for Higgins, Halak and 1st round draft pick. Not sure it's worth it?

That sounds like a trade from the Houle Era, not the Gainey Era... (At least, I hope he'd never do something so stupid). What would we do with that guy anyway? Does Livingston need a new friend?
