- How'd those "moves" work out for you there, Bob? The team we're stuck with gets crushed by the Sabres, 5-1. Habs now only 4 points out of 10th in the East. Read that again. Now go take some meth;
- The Wings, however, can stand pat with their team, as they take over the NHL lead with a 3-2 win over the Avs;
- Here's your list of trades from yesterday. Don't read it, it will only be painful.

Who knew you couldn't win a game by playing only 15 minutes?
I do not like seeing Carcillo in the East. This does not make me happy...
You've been outed!
That makes two of the four...watch out, guys, popularity is gonna get the best of you.
I've been outed. I'm Cosmo Kramer. I'm Cosmo, Jerry, Cosmo!!!
I'm having a fun time imaging all the usual daybreak listeners arriving to work and deciding to have a quick look at fourhabsfans.com while they sip their morning lattes. Think some of them might be in for a surprise?
@d. - I actually meant to warn the listeners the site is kind of NSFW, but i "didnt get the chance" (that's my story and im sticking to it). BWAHAHAHAHAHA
shitting crap fuck. Crap shit fuckass. Knob. Giant Cunts. Wanker piss twats. Scrotum.
JHK
Two close friends on the radio at the same time, and the third a friend by proxy. That's a first for moi. :-)
TH
Remember Jim Carey? Vezina trophy in '96. Lost it soon thereafter and only played another two seasons in the NHL.
Maybe soon he won't be the biggest bust amongst goalkeeping Careys.
Only time will tell Bob...only time will tell.
Hey JHK! - Was that for the Habs' performance last night, or for the new unsuspecting readers of FHF? (To quote 29 - BWAHAHAHAHAHA!)
Word verif: "geyle".
Use in a sentence: "Price is playing like a little geyle"
JHK in the house, me getting outed, and a whole new crop of unsuspecting readers sent here by the CBC. Quite a morning!
@hf29 being outed, is that like being geyle? NTTIAWWT.
Also, word verif = outtill
... something last night's Habs are a bunch of or need more of.
Moeman (re: outtill) - or it's Blogger's way of confirming that BG is, in fact, a gigantic tool...
JHK - your rant made me very happy this morning! It's exactly how I feel on this blah Thursday.
Can we just pretend that it's Wednesday morning again and have a "do-over"? Only one with a happy ending???
Ponderances, by LD.
1. Think there's a chance Brisebois sits the next 2 games, so he can play #1000 at home, where hopefully Panger will have his car backed into the shipping/receiving bay with the trunk open and waiting?
2. .500 hockey from here in gets us 93 points. Is that enough?
3. Is BGL done for the season (PLEASE BABY JEEBUS!)?
4. Will PoonTang have an effect on the offensive offense?
5. Do Gainey and Co. have the balls to admit their mistake and send Price to the minors for the rest of the year?
LD - we can't send Price down to the minors without putting him on waivers. Even though he sucks lately, that is NOT in our best interest.
However, someone could take a lead pipe to his knee, which would then allow him to get sent down for a "conditioning stint" when the injury heals, waiver-free.
I'm just sayin' is all...
Has he hit 80 games already?
Or is it less (or more) for goalies...there's something there if i recall. Anywho, eligible or not it won't happen.
I may get bloody bashed, but I don't think Price is all that bad. Komi and Brisebois were brutal yesterday, and they were directly responsible for 3 goals.... (I'm sure Panger musta enjoyed that Brisebois one with Spacek)..... Alot of people are jumping to bash Bob and Price... cripes if Sundin didn't hit the post 3 times last week, we'd probably still be on the February losing streak.
LD:
1. i was wondering about this. i'd rather he waits and plays the one game at home than play on friday and then having him probably suit up at the next home game so he gets his standing o.
2. yes. and then we play the bruins.
3. we're all praying.
4. see number 3.
5. what LG said.
@iron: i was on your side until a couple of games before price got benched. "he's still young, he's not fully recovered yet, he'll turn it around, most of those goals aren't his fault" and that's fine. but we were a lot further from 10th then, and now his inability to make game-changing stops is fucking with our season, and i don't care if he's the fucking QUEEN OF ENGLAND, IF HE'S NOT WINNING GAMES, HE FUCKING SITS
...wo, things kind of got out of hand there, sorry
Waiver details:
After the trade deadline and until the playoffs, a player can be sent down with no problems. He can't be snagged.
Only if he's called back, he does have to go through re-entry waivers. Should a situation like that arise, and a player is claimed by some other team, he will NOT report to this team because there can be no personnel change after the deadline. The player would then stay in the minors until the summer, then report to his new team.
What that means for Price is that he could be sent to Hamilton with no problem, provided we are certain he stays there until July 1st. There would be no way to re-call him between now and then. So no matter how he plays, it's a risky proposition because if Halak falters well... we're in deep deep doo-doo.
Which I guess we are even if Price is around but that's besides the point...
@Bob Gainey: These Jim Carey comparisons piss me off because Jim Carey actually won a Vezina Trophy, whereas the only NHL related thing Scary Price has won is a starting job in the fucking All-Star Game.
At this point, I'd be happy to see Scary win the Vezina and flame out instead of doing nothing and uh... you know, continuing to suck.
the only NHL related thing Scary Price has been voted into is a starting job in the fucking All-Star Game.
fix'd
It's been a few years since I've had to do this... but this is the time of year when I decide on a backup team to cheer for in the playoffs, should the Habs not make it/be eliminated in the first round.
So, FHF posters/spewers of apoplectic rage (sadly, I've yet to see apoPlektic rage...), who will you be cheering for if/when the Habs bow out?
I'll be going for... wait for it... Florida. Good young team on the rise, great goalies, play a fun style of hockey, will be underdogs (undercats?), and pretty much the ONLY recent expansion team to have any sort of team personality (I still remember the '96 run to the finals, the rat-trick, Pavel Bure...)
My backup cheer team is Washington. Just love watching Ovechkin/Semin/Backstrom play and Fedorov is one of my all-time favorite players. So the Caps for me, when the Habs are out of it. Which should be soon anyway.
Anybody know how the fuck Pebbles managed to hurt his back again? I know how because it's the same reason I hurt my back on occasion - my big fuckin' gut! Jeebus he's out of shape! Which is good, so...I don't really care if it's God smiting him, or too much skin or whatever, just stay in the ER!
@SSHF: Chicago. I actually own a Blackhawks sweater. Of course - it's from pre-expansion (90's edition) of the NHL (and my gut) so it doesn't fit, but, GO HAWKS!
@ LD: The Hawks are my backup too, even if I think it's subconsciously because of Wayne's World.
I kinda like the Flames too, but only because I kinda like Jarome.
@ cottoneye
Caaar! [...] Game on!
I like Iginla, but hate the rest of them - Kipper is overrated, Bertuzzi is a douchebag, Phaneuf is overrated AND a douchebag, and their fans are jerks.
I hope Kiprusoff is out for a long stretch Ă la Brodeur, just to watch Keenan go "fuck fuck fuck who the hell do I put in nets?" Seriously. He's started all but SEVEN of their games. He plays more often than fucking Breezer!
@South Shore:
I'm looking forward to cheering for Columbus as I used to live in Ohio, albeit before the team ever existed. I also will be glad to back the Blackhawks, who I think will be a popular second team. Not sure if I can bring myself to cheer for anyone in the East, not even Washington.
My only other team of interest is Dallas because of Turco. (And others but most of them are injured right now). I live and die by my teams. Screw the rest. I only like certain players from the others, not the teams. But I watch hockey in general with a very neutral stance when those others are on, unless it's the Wild trap playing someone to death. Then I just go to sleep or see if there are any CHL games on.
