I like the Mara signing. He's better than Bouillon. If you consider that Spacek is better offensively than Komisarek and Gill's better than the Breeze, that's a significant upgrade on D.

Anybody else starting to get that same feeling you have after a one night stand about the team with all these new players? All excited while it's happening but starting to have second thoughts once the dust settles/booze wears off...severely lacking any emotional attachment.
Can we start the season already so Mara can rip Lucic's ovaries out and I have a reason to cheer for him!?!?

According to the cap number page, before these two guys got signed, Habs had over 8-million in cap space left. (They haven't updated yet). Now I'm guessing that's halved so there should be enough left for the RFAs, though I've no idea what ZombiePleks wants to be paid.
I'm thinking Metro is going to be waived/bought out (too bad, I like the guy), and Laraque will end up on the long-term injured reserve. That should allow us to sign all the RFAs (though it'll leave us uncomfortably close to the cap). I can't see Pleks being traded - we don't have anyone capable of playing that 2nd line centre position (maybe Squid, but he's gonna want first-line minutes and good linemates).
OK, it's official...I'm drunk and becoming a regular contributor...like it or not! So $4 mil left? Now what???
