At least we can stop waiting for him to come back

The Habs have announced that Vodkov had successful knee surgery today to repair the torn ACL suffered in Game 1 against the Pens. His recovery may take up to 6 months.

It's OK, we have PFK. They're like the same player.

Excuse me for a bit. I have to finish off this Cooke voodoo doll. LG gave me the idea with her Leighton one. He's currently looking a bit battered, but then again I keep dropping... er... throwing him down, stepping on him and smooshing his face into the floor. I'll get it done eventually I suppose. If Les Boys can keep persevering so can I!

Quotes;

“Everybody was helping me,” Kostitsyn said Wednesday when asked if anyone else on the team aside from his brother Andrei was talking to him in an effort to keep his spirits up.

Indeed, said Sergei, he wants to stick around and play a lot longer for the Canadiens, who do not always seem to reciprocate the sentiment. Sergei becomes a restricted free agent on July 1 while Andrei has a year left on his contract.

“Yes, I will stay here and play,” he said. “I want to be an NHL player here.”

Crap, I was hoping they were saving him for the Cup final, like why waste him on Philly. I like the color of the sky in my little world.

The delusions over on Habs I/O are occasionally entertaining, but I wonder how you can function in the real world if you believe that:

1. Jacques Martin knows less than you do about coaching hockey, so you really hope he reads H I/O because ...

2. He is a moron who needs your advice.

3. Specifically: he is a moron because he is not playing Ryan O'Byrne. Everything would be different if only Ryan O'Byrne was playing but Martin hates him (because he hates all anglos, like Sergei Kostitsyn for example).

Let's face it. We have on paper an average team. We've nonetheless made it to the final four by beating two of the legitimate cup contenders.

@boob - your rationality in mid-playoff run is truly impressive. I am losing my grip and very envious.

Do you have any Vulcan ancestors?

But we could have TWO of them!

Ehh...would it really have mattered up to this point?

Not particularly rational.

Anyone who tries their best and is in the Canadiens organization has this guy's support.

They might be running out of gas but they did good.

Hope the fans cheer the roof off the Bell Ctr tomorrow.

Now we know why the Habs were drafting/collecting a bunch of younger offensive defensemen who are pretty good in their own end. Bob and Goat are psychics.

KNEES!
