The Morning Skate for Monday, September 10th

Bullet points for what you missed while dreaming of the Habs racing out to a 7-game win streak to open the season. Hey, it's theoretically possible...
  • The "Super" Series comes to a merciful end with a 6-1 Canada victory. This series was one for the ages! Ah, the memories. I'll cherish them for years. What were those memories again?
  • The Gazette writes a pathetic puff piece about the greatness of its own hockey "blog", Habs Inside/Out. When your "original" content is just stories from The Gazette, when you have no blogroll, when you have a long list of rules about how to use and comment on the site, when your editor says things like "commenting is a privelege, not a right," you have no fucking clue what a blog is. The only reason people go there is The Gazette throws its money behind it and Habs fans think there is no where else to go. I won't insist you read this blog (though we hope you do), instead, you can read any of the great Habs blogs 'rolled on the right;
  • Today's rookie report is about 25-year old "rookie" Janne Lahti. A Finn who plays a bruising North American style. Don Cherry is confused.

I can't believe I get to write this - training camp opens THIS WEEK!!! Shit yeah. And that means the big FHF season preview is around the corner too. If only we can get Candy our in-house stripper to stop dancing, we may get some work done and have it for you soon.
