- Habs pull two points out of their ass with a 3-2 shootout win over the Sens where they played like crap. To be fair, Benoit Brunet thought they played like peaches and cream. More later today;
- While I am sure no one in the East noticed, Vancouver is hot as hell,
unbeatenwithout a regulation loss in 8 after a 3-2 win over the Wild; - Kipper shuts out the Avs 1-0;
- Finishing up this morning's focus on Canada West, Oilers go down to the Wings 4-3;
- We hesitate to even bring this up, but Bob and Mats met in L.A. Maybe they went to The Body Shop together.

Just as I suspected, Habbies win so "We played a full 60 minutes of good hockey." Fuck off. A fluke W does not a great hockey team make. Yes, good teams find ways to win. But good teams also beat the Blue Jackets easily.
The offense is like my grandpa. Impotent and an embarrassment in public. The defense like my grandma. Afraid to touch people and overly generous.
The Habs really are like my family. I love them to death but everytime I see them they find new ways to piss me off. And I haven't seen either in flesh and blood for years.
/wipe away single tear running down cheek
"Vancouver is hot as hell, unbeaten in 8 after a 3-2 win over the Wild...." Didn't they lose to the NY islanders Monday? Yes it was in that silly shoot out, but a loss is a loss, right?
I don't think the Islanders are still and NHL franchise. That must have been an exhibition.
The fact that someone made Lil Tits and Big Tits jerseys is both amazing and terrifying.
@FUAX R - ur right, i misspoke. fixed
@10 - mind-boggling, yet awesome. now I want to see someone with Gang Bang on the back
@FAUX R - meanwhile, it's TSN's fault. their headline: "CANUCKS EDGE WILD TO INCREASE UNBEATEN STREAK TO EIGHT"
quality reporting, TSN
i definitely don't consider myself an apologist for mediocre play, but i have to say that maybe we're being a *bit* too critical on the habs after last night. i fully admit that last night's win was due in large part to luck, but i still think that the effort last night was better by leaps and bounds than the effort displayed in carolina (and st. louis, and montreal on saturday, and...). i actually agree with carbo that they played a pretty decent defensive game, and controlled the play for good stretches. the one major criticism is of course the lack of shots, but i think last night was a good step in the right direction. the intensity was there from a lot of les boys. i have to ask if maybe our objectivity has been marred a bit by our... uh... habsfanness.
@too close - yeah, i agree with you in some ways. they definitely had a better effort last night (at least some players). i still feel like we stole the 2 points though
@29 - agreed. i just think "played like crap" is a bit of a stretch. i mean, if last night's game was crap, what word do you use to describe games like the one against boston last week, or carolina on tuesday? takes all meaning away from the word.
then again, as a faithful reader of this site, i know what to expect around here, and i wouldn't have it any other way. :) i just wanted to say i thought last night's game was much better, for the record.
oh, and i would like to slap a trademark on "habsfanness". are any of you IP lawyers?
Let the Sundin 'watch' heat up again.
Just when I thought it was safe to forget about that dumb Swede, Bobby flies to L.A. Uuggghh.
Mats will be looking for a 3 year deal and it appears the salary cap will go down in 09-10 season? Is he worth it? fuck if I know, I just wish the bald headed prick would make a decision already.
Those jerseys are amazing!
I'm torn on wanting Mats to go to Vancouver, or Montreal. You boys are looking like the class of the East, but VanCity has Luongo.
I love Mats. I want him to win a Cup.
