Andrei Markov will take some time out from knee-rehabbing tomorrow to become a Canadian citizen. For once my experience as an immigration lawyer comes in handy on FHF! Canadian law says that he won't have to give up his Russian citizenship, he can be both. Of course, I don't know what Russian law says, but I'm guessing with a few rubles, you can do what the fuck you want.I'd like to say that this is awesome and he's doing it because he loves Canada and wants to show how much he appreciates it here, but it's probably for tax reasons.
