It's TMS vacation time bitCHes!

Oh hello there. Hope all is well. We're hot. And tired. As we glance over at our Babes of Curling calendar, we see that we have now officially entered "dog days of summer" a.k.a. the part of the NHL off-season WHERE I FUCKING LOSE MY MIND. Oh, it may be lost already, you say? You may be correct. We are writing TMS in the evening after all.

So given the state of the calendar and our mind, we have decided that TMS is off on a little hiatus. There's no fucking point in trying to scrape together some bullet points every morning when there is fucking jack shit going on. FHF is not closing down, we'll still post every now and then should anything develop. Ha! Like that's gonna happen. Seriously, TFS has to sign sometime, right? RIGHT? And me and the boys (and gal) are coming up with some kickass new ideas for some summer filler, now that the World Cup is over [/cries for 15 minutes over Dutch loss, comes back]. They will be brilliant! Uh, they ARE brilliant! That's what we meant to say. But the fact is even blogs should have a relaxing off-season. You can't write about hockey 12 months of the year. That's why I write True Blood recaps (oh look, latest one is up! and it's got a sexy pic!).

So TMS says asta la vista, or more accurately, gauw tot ziens. We'll tell Bobbi you say hi.

The Montreal Summer Games of the 25th Stanley Cupiad: Habs-Flyers Game 4 Preview and Open Thread

Of all days where you expect families to fight about hockey and how it takes life over, this is the one. 30 degrees on a Saturday? Let's take the kids to the parc! Let's go fly a kite on the Mont-Royal, let's practice lamaz on the rooftops, let's take the sun in and just be free and young and vulnerable.

No, honey, there's a game and it's at 3 in the afternoon.

I'm a divorce lawyer. I should be expecting some calls this week. I've arranged for my secretary to clear my schedule.

The Bell Centre has anticipated the problem and so instead of a zamboni cleaning the ice in between periods, a machine will flood the surface and turn in into a swimming pool for families to enjoy. Hurrraaay!!!! The weekend is saved!!!!!!! Sand in the prestige section, beach balls, BBQ, the works.

Things are already sizzling though because, game 3 featured what you finally can expect from this rivals. A rivalry. Intensity. It would be nice though from a neutral perspective to have both teams show up for work for the very first time in the series.

Habs have only accomplished half of the first portion of this endeavour; they needed both wins at home to avoid going back to Philly down 3 games to 1.

So a win today and spending the day in a concrete cavern with air conditioning won't feel so bad.

Small post so you can all enjoy the weather and come back later.

When: 3 p.m. call my secretary to book an appointment.

Where: Bell Centre, RDS, CBC, NBC, Versus (really, who gets versus)

Who's 30-degree hot? Meagan Fox, Ste-Catherine street today, PK, Cammy, Gio and the like.

Who's AC cold?: I'm not jinxing anybody, except you, Marc-Andre Bergeron and you, Benoit Pouliot.

Adult entertainment: Hot, hot, steamy, sweat dripping down your back, reach for that cold ice water afterwards, gardening. Get your ass out there and make amends for spending the afternoon indoors.

Who's hot, you're hot, I'm hot, she's hot....

A-HA!

This beautiful photo best represents the Habs of today, saying goodbye to the fading and sucking Habs of yesterday.

The Hockey News
has unveiled its predictions for the forthcoming NHL season. And it goes a little something like this (always wanted to say that):

"Forget that two of the worst off-season free agent signings (Michael Ryder in Boston and Jeff Finger in Toronto) speak to the sizeable desperation levels existing in this division. Forget that, aside from the astounding Canadiens, there are medium-to-mountain-sized holes in every other team in the Northeast."

I love you, The Hockey News.

RDS has also spread the euphoria around by citing THN's claim that the Habs would finish first in the East. Et pourquoi pas?

Gone I say! Gone are the days where every media outlet on the face of this round, porous, and ozone challenged Earth rushed out the gate in a mad scramble to predict a season-long collapse for a Canadiens team they had ruminating somewhere between 13th and 15th place in the Conference. Today, we stand among the mighty, on the lands of a summit we once groomed with daily affection.

It is indeed a joyful day. I want to feed the hungry squirrels in the parks of Montreal. I want to cook for the homeless. I want to learn Spanish and sing to my neighbour Maria-Fernanda. I want to paint the skies a bright bright Thulian pink. I want to sign my name in bleu, blanc, rouge across the heartlands of Oklahoma. I want to then explain to a confused people in Oklahoma why I am here, and why I signed my name in bleu, blanc, rouge. I want to make love. Dammit, I want to make love.

Maybe I just need my morning coffee. Have a nice day everyone.
