Strippers and BJs Preview and Open Thread
There's been a lot of talk around here lately (OK, two comments yesterday) about the lack of strippers on this here site these days. Here ya go. And an old school format preview to go with it. FHF is still stripperriffic, goddammit.
Waiting in line details - 7 PM start at the lovely Nationwide is on Your Side Arena. Columbus may be in last place in a very tough division, but they are no patsies sitting at 6-4-0. Both teams coming off Saturday night losses - Habs to the Cats and the BJs a terrible 5-1 effort to the Avs. This is the teams' only meeting this year.
Pay your cover charge to - The Cannon has all your BJ info, and BJ Vision has all your BJ video. One of those is NSFW, try to guess which one!
Hot sexy Habs to watch - CHicken! Seriously! Maybe Jeff Halpern too? Though he feels guilty about being included here.
Skanky Habs to watch - Gomez, Gionta, yada yada. It really is just piling on now. Like I did on CJAD.
Hot sexy BJs are the best - Derrick Brassard has 4 points in 4 games, Kyle Wilson 3 in 3, and Nikita Filatov is playing better. I have no idea who any of these people are. But then again, I barely knew Columbus had a team. Mathieu Garon is playing well, and is playing tonight. I know him!
Skanky BJs can still be fun too - RJ Umberger and Antoine Vermette both pointless in 3.
Not dancing due to too many vodka Red Bulls - The Habs are surprisingly healthy. Jinx! Healthy sitters tonight are Captain Picard and permanent doghouse member Rhino. SpatCHes continues to get ice time for no reason. Also, Dustin Boyd gets back in the lineup. The BJs have a decent list of wounded, including Mike Commodore on IR and Huselius with a whole bunch of sprains, bruises, and tweaks.
Post-game adult entertainment establishment - Check out Kahoots Gentleman's Club in the heart of Downtown Columbus. Or maybe it's in the suburbs. WTF do I know about Columbus geography. Anyway, with clever spelling like that, it has to be good.
Let's hear your dirty, dirty thoughts in the comments

Try not to get injured getting a lap dance - Bulldogs-Pens preview and open thread
Remember the old days when FHF just used to post pictures of random strippers? Good times. Well, those days are back for a bit as GoldenGirl11, in solidarity with the Habs, has gone on IR with Photoshoppers' wrist. We wish her a speedy recovery. So yes, injuries. They're mounting up the wazoo. If the weekend's loss of Jaro 2.0 and Gomez wasn't bad enough, today we learn that Big Tits, finally starting to play like an actual NHL'er, was seen this morning walking with crutches. That's thanks to the dreaded lower-body injury suffered after blocking a shot (I'm sure that was accidental) last night. Kill me. To replace him, your next Hamilton bulldog with the big club will be David Desharnais. In 7 games this year, he has 4G 6A. Hey, that's alright. He's like 5'7" and 150 lbs soaking wet, so he'll fit right in too.
I'm just too depressed from the walking wounded to give you any creativity in this preview. I'll tell you that the game is at 7:30 at Mellonhead Arena in Pittsburgh. Earlier this year, Habs got crushed by Sid's hat trick in a 6-1 loss that hopefully will be the low point for the season. Pens still lead the Eastern Conference. You already know about the Pensblog, so check out The Sidney Crosby Show, if you can stomach it.
Pleks, Squid, Price, Sid, Evgeni, MAF, etc., etc. On the good news front, I have discovered that Habs actually have a better power play than the Pens. I really don't know how that's possible, but the interwebs never lie.
Carey is getting the start again. Damn fucking right. Ride that streak baby. HI/O reports that Big Tits is actually a game-time decision despite the crutches. Total bullshit JM, stop covering your ass, I'm sure he won't play.
FUCK! A lamp just dropped from my office ceiling and landed on my blogging arm. Preview over. Medic!

Stripperriffic Preview: Road Trip Edition - Paul Mara
Who the fuck are these new guys? How the fuck are we supposed to know? They're new to us too. So we've taken the lazy-ass blogger way out, and turned to the best bloggers out there (or those that answered our emails) to help us out. We hunted down bloggers from the player's team last year, and told them they could write whatever they wanted, to help us get to know the new guy better. Then we let GoldenGirl11 loose with the Photoshop and a new web series was born.Today we are pleased to welcome Scotty Hockey. Scotty kicks ass, telling it like it is about the Rangers, a true fan but without the dickish attitude of our old nemesis. And you gotta respect any blog with a South Park character in their header. Enjoy what he has to say about Mara, because what he says about Gomez ain't pretty. Take it away, Scotty...
In the lumberjack-looking Paul Mara, Montreal is getting themselves a soldier. Mara was misrepresented to us in New York upon his acquisition. The year out of the lockout, Mara scored 29 of his 47 points on the Phoenix power play. Being as the Rangers power play has been anemic, we thought we had ourselves a gunslinger from the point who would fill a top four blueline slot. We were wrong. Mara never earned Tom Renney's trust on the power play so he rarely got good minutes there (while the incompetent oaf Marek Malik saw shift after shift). Despite having a reduced role, Mara carved out a good spot for himself on Broadway. He nurtured a young Marc Staal, helping the blue chip blueliner acclimate to the professional world. He became the most physical crease clearer on the roster - a dubious accolade at best but he saw the need for it and did it well. Simply said, Mara became a foot soldier, and a damned good one at that. He stood up for teammates, he made the good first pass out of the zone and, in the 183 games that he played for us, I can only remember one game where his play hurt the team. His gaffes in a game against Pittsburgh allowed the Pens to score two goals in two minutes in the first period, and in response his rookie partner Mike Sauer was benched for the remainder of the night and sent back down to Hartford - through no fault of his own. Still, Mara quietly did his job and won us over, even if he didn't score any goals to win games.

Stripperriffic Preview: Road Trip Edition - Brian Gionta

Who the fuck are these new guys? How the fuck are we supposed to know? They're new to us too. So we've taken the lazy-ass blogger way out, and turned to the best bloggers out there (or those that answered our emails) to help us out. We hunted down bloggers from the player's team last year, and told them they could write whatever they wanted, to help us get to know the new guy better. Then we let GoldenGirl11 loose with the Photoshop and a new web series was born.
First up is Pookie and Schnookie of Interchangeable Parts. My god do we love us some Ookies. They are absolutely hysterical in the killer intelligent snarky way we love, and have built a community we're jealous of. Somehow they manage to create brilliant game diaries while participating in game comments that regularly top 400 comments, all while creating delicious meals and / or gardening. Without further adieu, their take on Brian Gionta:
So, Habs fans, it seems you've found yourself in the ownership this summer of a slightly-used Brian Gionta. We can imagine that you're highly skeptical of this roster addition, as any sane hockey fan should be. Well, as expert Gionta-watchers, we're here to tell you that that's not all bad news. There are a number of scenarios in which you could find that Gio is exactly the player you want to see on your team.
1. We have heard many times over in the last few years that Brian Gionta is a "proven 40 goal scorer". Of course, we've only heard that from media types who don't follow the Devils closely; the Devils-savvy media people would recognize that "proven 40 goal scorer" is technically true of Gio, but he is much more aptly described as a "proven 20 goal scorer who had a fluke 48-goal season once". So how did a guy whose second-highest season goal total is just 25 end up with an outlier of a season like Gio's 2005-2006 year? Well, there were a few key factors conspiring to make it happen: the post-lockout "New NHL" rules that made it so nice to be Brian Gionta or Jonathan Cheechoo; a Scott Gomez who was, for the first and only time in his career, motivated not just to pass all the time; and a Patrik Elias who, thanks to his hepatitis, had to cram the entirety of a monster contract year into just half a season. If the Canadiens can make all those things happen again, Gio should be able to score another 48 goals, and you'll love him.
2. If the rules don't change back to the "New NHL", and Gomez predictably has his head up his own ass all year, and the Habs don't end up with the equivalent of Patty Elias's contract year, but if you really love 20-goal scorers, you'll love Brian Gionta.
3. Either Gio's not very attentive to his surroundings when he's skating or the Devils forwards are really slow (we're going to say it's a little bit of column A and a little bit of column B), because when he was a Devil he was always offsides. If you are a big fan of your team shooting itself in the foot by breaking up its own offensive flow all the time, then you'll love Brian Gionta.
4. When Gio first came into the league he was an eensy-weensy little fireball of fearlessness and aggression. We always lamented that the Devils offense was so poor because the only guy on the team who knew how to crash the net was the smallest guy on the team. After a few years of that, though, the joke was on us, because even Gio seemed to forget how to do that. His signature offensive play in the last couple of seasons has been to dart up the wing, uncharacteristically stay onsides, then "blast" a slapshot from about 25 feet out. It's not often very effective. But if you're a big fan of that kind of play, you'll love Brian Gionta.
5. Gio is impossibly small. He's currently listed at 5'7", but seriously, if he was in a smurf league, he'd be generously listed at "three apples high". However small you know he is, he's still smaller than that. That said, when he's on the ice during a scrum, Gio always goes after the biggest guy, and is a total punk about it. We hear that there's a wee bit of bad blood between the Bruins and Canadiens these days, and we think Habs fans should know that there's one guy who absolutely hates when Gio goes after him: Zdeno Chara. It's a constant delight when those two face off, so if you love seeing a pocket-sized guy on your team getting deeply under the skin of the Bruins captain, then you'll love Brian Gionta.
6. Finally, we've spent the last couple of years hoping the Devils were going to trade Gio, and, in the spirit of idiotic trade proposals floated on the interwebs by deranged fans, we kept suggesting they trade him for Vinny Lecavalier. Now, it's highly likely that Gio was a dedicated reader of our blog, which means he's now very used to seeing his name come up in utterly preposterous Lecavalier trade rumors, so he'll be very comfortable hearing it in Montreal. If you're the type of fan who loves to toss around stupid notions about how little your team needs to give up to land Lecavalier, then you'll love Brian Gionta.

Sexy Friday whips out the video
A couple of videos for you on Sexy Friday. First up, our favourite anonymous blonde hockey talker goes outside to have the wind swept through her hair and talk about Games 1 and 2. Amazingly, lots of what she says comes through for the Pens in the last two games. I'm telling you, she's a brilliant analyst! She's also cute trying to pronounce Justin Abdelkader. Finally, I like the way she has to sort of lean forward to be in the camera frame.
Recently we had a complaint about the lack of strip club stuff around here. Agreed! This has nothing to do with hockey, but here's a CNN story about some dude suing a strip club when a stripper allegedly kicked him in the head. Lawyers and strippers! FHF in real life.
To make up for that not being about hockey, I have some hockey news. Mario Tremblay will not be rehired by the Wild, he's now free to join the Habs. He said of course, would love to come here. Did that just make your Sexy Friday flaccid?
As always, Sexy Friday copyright KSK

Strippers at a hockey game: the FHF dream comes true
So Puck Daddy is reporting that the ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers have come up with an amazing promotion that we can only dream of the Habs copying one day. Their "Over 18 Night" will feature a later starting time, an open bar for $20 before the game, and 2 for 1 drinks during the game. And strippers. In the concourse, there will be "Stripper 101," a striptease cardio and pole dancing demonstration or something. I really don't care what it is, but it sounds outstanding. The only downside is that it seems there will be no nudity. Total bullshit. Without nudity, there is no stripping. I call false advertising.
This brings to mind something that was announced recently that we've been meaning to mention. Quebec sex vedette Anne-Marie Losique (the Big Tits in the pink in the pic above) has launched Quebec Pole Position, a reality show seeking the best stripper in Quebec. It will be on pay TV in May. You can fucking better believe there will be nudity in that show. We're rooting for the ladies from Faucon Bleu in Mont Tremblant. It's been the site of many a bachelor party of the extended FHF family, and the awesomest moment of my life when a stripper and I waved to my friends from the upstairs VIP room, while she was wearing my vintage Kansas City Scouts jersey and nothing else.
Lap dance to FHF friend Goozo for first pointing out the Quebec Pole Position story

Ladies and Gentlemen, New York City Baby! Rangers Preview and Open Thread

An original preview for an original six team. Or as HF10 once so cleverly called them, "the red-headed stepchild of the original six."
Waiting in line details - 730 pm at MSG. Mmmm, I could use some Chinese food. I've used that joke before I think. We'll see if Maguire has any voice left on TSN after the WJHC. Habs 6-1-1 in their last 8. Really? I thought we sucked. Rangers coming off a 4-0 win over a newly-sucky Penguins, but before that had lost 3 of 4. Still, Rangers have one more point than the Habs (though the Habs have 3 games in hand). Habs won the only game between the teams so far.
Pay your cover charge to - we always link to our old nemesis Dubi over at the Blueshirt Bulletin. Fuck him. We instead point you to Ranger Pundit, who has "been a NY Rangers fan since the 1937 - 1938 season." Respect that shit, people.
Hot sexy Habs to watch - Riiight. Is PK Subban wearing a CH yet? Seriously I guess ZombieLang didn't hold on to the tag for long. Big Tits had a couple against the Cats.
Skanky Habs to watch - Jaro gets the start despite being mediocre at best over the last 2 games. De-nis! De-nis! Kovy pointless in 3.
Not dancing due to to many Vodka Red Bulls - you know the list. Captain K is skating and is getting close, but still we wait for the healing powers of Vishnu to take hold on TFS, Higgy, Tangy, etc.
Hot sexy Rangers to watch - Drury 7 points in his last 5 games. Lundqvist 2-0-0, 2.01 GAA, .922 save% in his last 2 GP including the Pens shutout. Nikolai Zherdev is the Rangers points leader.
Skanky Rangers to watch - Wade Redden sort of meh.
In the VIP room - Habs PP stuck at 27th in the league, while the Rangers have the best PK. Uh-oh. I am also really getting fucking sick and tired of the whole 20 minutes per game thing. Again. I thought we got over that crap. Is the coach the issue? HF4 asks the question over at his other gig.
Post-game adult entertainment establishment - It's all class (they have sushi) at The VIP Club, baby!
Watching? Listening? Imagining the game in your head? Let's your dirty, dirty thoughts in the comments.

This is about as much stripper as you deserve, boys - WhalerCanes Game Preview and Open Thread
Waiting in line details - 7 PM start, RBC Center, Raleigh, NC. Another U.S. arena named after a Canadian bank. Are Canadian banks that good? Take your service charges and fuck yourself, CIBC. Habs have won two of their last five games. Huzzah! They still really, really suck. Canes 9-7-2 overall, but have lost 3 of their last 4. It's a suck-off! Habs won the sole matchup this year in a shootout.
Pay your cover charge to - the only Canes blog worth reading, Carolina on Ice. And thanks to our old friend Wufpirate from COI for pointing us to this Price-bashing over at the only other Canes blog worth reading.
Hot sexy Habs to watch - [checks roster] hmm, hmmm, uh, uh, I guess Tangy is still good. Big Tits had 4 seconds of exhilirating hockey Sunday night.
Skanky Habs to watch - the lot of 'em.
Hot sexy Canes to watch - Brind'amour at a point per game pace lately. That's about it. Wait, Brind'amour is still playing?
Skanky Canes to watch -Jordan Eric Staal has no goals and one assist in his last seven. Sergei Samsonov is not playing too well either. I'm SHOCKED I tell ya! Generally, Canes have some goalie issues, and can't really score much. Just like us!
Pay attention kiddies - Carbo thought that the Blues game was so good, he's sticking with the same whacky line combos:
Tangy - Kaptain K - Kovy
Lang with two pairs of Tits
Higgy - Pleks - Greek Lightning
Gui! - Bégin - El Dandy
Normally I'd complain, but anything that relegates Tenderness to the 4th line is OK in my book.
Oh, I haven't mentioned yet - Habs riding an awesome 0 for 20 streak on the PP, which is now 26th in the league. We are SO close to the bottom, I know we can do it!
Post-game adult entertainment - skip the strip club and just masturbate to this photo gallery of Hurricanes Storm Squad member Ashley.
Get you hand out of there and comment!

Please have a seat, it's gonna be a long season - Flyers Game Preview and Open Thread
Sure, no one is more for freaking out and fearing the collapse than me - just see TMS from yesterday - but for one night, we're gonna do the Zen thing. It's mid-November. Still a LONG way to go. So when the Habs hit the Phone Booth ice at 7 PM with Jaro and Bégin but without DOOM, we're just gonna grab a delicious beverage and take some deep cleansing breaths, remembering a long season has tons of ups and downs. For all you guys saying "yo Goober, where's the meat? Especially against the Flyers? After that Bruins disaster? I don't come here for flaky liberal bullshit.I'm eager to go psycho! Get angry MOTHERFUCKER!!!" I hear ya. Like I said, still a LONG way to go. If this doesn't work, I'm sure I'll be twice as angry tomorrow.
Meditate with me in the comments, omm, omm.

Habs need to turn it around NOW - Sens preview and open thread

Yeah, it seems odd to me too that we need to talk about "turning things around" when the Habs are 8-2-2. But fuck, how much do I need to complain about the sucking? We can all agree that the Leafs game was an embarassment. But that BJ's game sucked too. Meanwhile, the Sens are all hotsy-totsy lately after stumbling out of the gate. Time to make a statement boys.
Waiting in line details - 7 PM start at The Phone Booth. You hear that - SEVEN P.M., not the normal 7:30 for a weeknight. That reduces my time to get drunk after work by half. I can still do it! The game is on TSN so HF10 can watch. While the Sens are coming off a 2-1 loss to the Canes, before that they had dominated the Flyers and had a 4-0-1 streak. After actually sitting in last place for a while, Sens have climbed to 10th in the East. As for the Habs, well, you know my feelings already.
Pay your cover charge to - if this is your first day on FHF, we'll direct you to Five for Smiting. If you've been here before, you're probably sick of us talking about how great a blogger SLC is, so we'll just shut the fuck up for once.
Hot sexy Habs to watch - Pleks and Kovy starting to come alive, and Tangy and Markov still going strong.
Skanky Habs to watch - I'm hoping to see Mad Max get a point again in my lifetime. I've given up on Gui! though. If I put TFS(tm) in this space (10 goals against in his last two starts), will the gods smite me? [ducks thunder bolt]
Hot sexy Sens to watch - Alex Auld leads the league in GAA. Let me write that again - ALEX FRAKKING AULD LEADS THE LEAGUE IN GAA. Fish, Heater and Alfie all coming around. And Filip Kuba is still leading NHL defensemen in points, albeit tied with 3 others including Markov.
Skanky Sens to watch - Spezza with only a single point in his last 5 games, though he still has 13 for the season.
Line-up du jour - Price will start. Hamr is ready to go. No word yet on the fourth line, but we're sure it won't include a certain winger of Greek descent who we shall not name for fear of sparking another debate in the comments.
Totally random note that has nothing to do with the game but I'm writing it anyway - As I write this preview, some guy is outside my window wearing a Colorado Avalanche jacket. I always found it fascinating how Nords fans embraced the Avs. Normally, when a team leaves a city, its subsequent incarnation is met with either indifference or derision (see: Washington Nationals), but Nords fans seem to love the Avs.
Early week post-game entertainment in lieu of a strip club - How about reading a book? May I suggest Men with Balls, by KSK'er Big Daddy Drew? I haven't read it yet, but if it's 1/10th as funny as his Thursday Afternoon Dick Joke Jamboroos, it will be awesome.
Let's hear your dick jokes in the comments

Time to get Wild (sorry, I know that's fucking lame) - Game Preview and Open Thread
Waiting in line details - 8:00 P.M. (EST) start, Xcel Energy Center, St. Paul MN. I love when arenas are named after companies I've never heard of. FHF regular prairiegirlwarriorpoet is going to the game - maybe she can find out for us. This is the Habs first trip to Minny since like the North Stars played there or something. The teams have identical 6-1-1 records, after the Wild lost their first in regulation last night.
Pay your coverage charge to - Of course, we gotta shout out to Kirsten over at Land of Lakes and Hockey. As a Habs fan, she's gotta be torn tonight. Maybe she can come up with a Friday Five for us a day early.
Hot sexy Koivus to watch - Koivu, while being kept off the scoresheet for only the second time this year still managed to win the Canes game in the SO. He's got 10 points in his last 7 games. Koivu is off to his best start ever, leading the league in assists. The Koivus have faced each other twice in the past, with Koivu getting two assists in those games while Koivu has been held pointless.
And the rest - God bless Tangy, who really seems to have found the rejuvination machine after being released from Iron Mike's grip. Didn't he used to be more of a passer though? Now he's scoring goals, with 6 in 8 games. Shoutout to another Finn, Anttttti Miettttttinen who's got 10 points for the Wild.
Skank-o-rama - And herein lies the preview where we turn on Gui! Soon he'll really be dragging the line down, if he isn't already. Little Tits pointless in five. Pleks is snake bit. For the Wild, Niklas Backstrom started great this year but sucked last night and was pulled in the first period.
Line 'em up - TFS will start. The Hamr looks like he can play. No word yet on fourth line members for the evening or whether Breezer will be let out of the trunk of Panger's car.
We are making it through this entire post without mentioning Marian Gaborik -
Interesting news that I'm too fucking lazy to make its own post for - Habs I/O is reporting that studly Hamilton defenseman Pavel Valetenko has bolted for the KHL and Moscow Dynamo. In Soviet Russia, hockey league signs you!
Post-game adult entertainment establishment - head over to Minneapolis and Schiek's Palace Royal. Looks classy. Whatever you do, however, do NOT go to a place called The Strip Club. Talk about false advertising.
Let's get Wild in the comments people! (again, sorry, totally lame)

Fishnet in memory of the Whale - Hurricanes Game Preview and Open Thread
Waiting in line details - 7:30 PM start at the Phone Booth. Are we ever going on the road again? It's Méchant Mardi on RDS! I still don't know what that means. Are Tuesdays now evil or something? Habs coming off their first regulation loss of the season. Canes sitting atop the Soutleast division at 4-3-1, and a solid 2-1-1 on their current road trip. Last year, Canes had a 2-1-1 advantage over the Habs. Since the lockout, Canes are 9-0 in the Bell Centre. Ye gads.
Pay your cover charge to - old FHF friend Wufpirate is rocking over at Carolina on Ice. He's really upped the Photoshop ante this year. Putting a Staal face on Princess Leia can't be easy.
Hot sexy Habs to watch - Tender Guay Saks of course. Captain K with 10 points in his last 6 games, and Tangy with 8 points over that span. Markov behind only Ottawa surprise Filip Kuba amongst league D in scoring, with at least one assist in every game we've played.
Skanky Habs to watch - well the Danse Ă Dix line got off a million shots on Saturday but could barely bury one. Little Tits has zero points in four games.
Hot sexy Canes to watch - Eric Staal a point per game over the last 6. Cam Ward has never lost (7-0) at the Bell Centre, with a sick .952 save %.
Skanky Canes to watch - Sergei Samsonov pointless so far this season. Really? You don't say?
Line-up mania! - Well the Gazette reports that Big Tits is playing, but I also read he has yet to be cleared by the doctors. You guys can keep us filled in throughout the day. Other than that, everyone is available, so be sure to see Breezer in the lineup as the Habs coaching staff continue their glorious love affair with him (UPDATE: Breezer is OUT. W00t! Suck it, trunk-boy). TFS will start. Canes are dropping like flies, too many injuries to list.
Post-game entertainment - This week's early-week avoid depressing strip clubs to watch TV pick is Fringe, JJ Abrams' new series on Fox. Maybe a little too X-Files derivative, but damn it's entertaining at least. Last week's Scanners-esque exploding heads were awesome. Of course, the episode may be pre-empted by the resumption of Game 5 of the World Series. In that case, read a boring book; it'll be more exciting than baseball.
Comments, awaaaaaaaay!!!

Dress up, it's finally hockey night again! - (Mighty-ish) Ducks Preview and Open thread

Man I almost forgot the last time there was some hockey. Last week? Last month? And of course, I've got a cocktail party to go to. At exactly 7 PM. Fuck me. Alright, here's the preview for the rest of you who may not be living the glamorous life of Saturday night cocktail parties.
Waiting in line details - the aforementioned 7PM at the Phone Booth. Habs still haven't lost in regulation. Of course when you don't play all week you can't lose. Ducks started like crap but have won 3 of their last 4, including two in a row to start their road trip. Habs have only won once against the Ducks in the last 5 games they've played, and haven't beaten them in Montreal since 2001. Yeesh. Oh, and league-wide, all 30 teams are in action, quite the rarity.
Pay your cover charge to - Battle of California of course. Your best choice when you start mixing all those California teams up.
Hot sexy Habs to watch - Everyone is cold after 5 days of not playing. Seriously though, Captain K has goals in 3 straight games.
Skanky Habs to watch - we were all ready to jump on Rhino, but Carbo beat us to the punch and is benching him.
29 get to the FUCKING EXCITING line-up news already you dick!!! - Higgins is in! Woohoo! Let the trade showcase begin! Price is recovered enough from the flu to back up Jaro. Big Tits skated today, but is not yet yet recovered enough from the upper body concussion to play. El Dandy sits. Isn't he a better D than Breezer?
Hot and sexy and skanky Ducks to watch - Brad May (?) leads them in scoring, while Teemu, Pronger and Getzlaf are were really not doing a whole hell of a lot until last night against the Sens. And Teemu was involved on that Marchant freak goal in the game.
Post-game adult entertainment establishment - if we're classing it up, we can only go to FHF spiritual home Chez Paree. In spirit only, cause we never go in there. We're not rich.
Let's do it in the comments people!

The (fake) Tits are home at last - Bruins Game Preview and Open Thread
Well this is it. The 100th season starts in earnest this evening with the home opener. The ring of cock will be unveiled, and the ceremony will be grand. Then the Habs will suck for 2 periods, but pull out a win in the end. You heard it here first. That's gotta be the kiss of death.
Waiting in line details - 7:30 PM at the Phone Booth. Actual puck drup after the ring of honour ceremony expected to be around midnight. Habs have won 400 straight over the Broons in the regular season. This paragraph needs more hyberbole.
Pay your cover charge to - we are pleased to introduce you to the fine folks over at The Jumbotron, a new Bruins blog this year. They suck. Only for being Bruins fans. Otherwise we like them.
Hot sexy Habs to watch - Little Tits has 5 points to lead all Habs scorers. Lots of other players (Saks, Tangy, Markov, even Gui!) with 4 points each. Our goalies have gaudy early season stats, like .960 save percentages. Mad Max doesn't have a point yet, but fuck he's worked harder than anyone out there imho.
Skanky Habs to watch - anybody playing in the first or second period.
Do the lineup shuffle - Habs I/O reports that LaRack will play, taking Steve Bégin's spot. Higgy and Frankie B still out. Chips still fucked.
Hot sexy Bruins to watch - Patrice Bergeron looking good in his post-injury return. Milk Carton Mike has a goal and two helpers on his way to an 80-point season.
VIP room promise - if the fans boo Milk Carton Mike, TMS will rant tomorrow.
Post-game adult entertainment establishment - opening night in Montreal means the return of the old stand-by, Club Downtown. They've added a new tag line this year - "It's not a sin to touch." If a website says it, it's gotta be true.
Let's hear your dirty dirty ring of cock thoughts in the comments.

Wake up! Season's started. Philly Game preview and Open Thread

Someone needs to tell this lovely lady that there's $10 to be made out there. And that the season's started. Though after Saturday night's friendly trouncing of the Leafs, no one really has to tell the Habs. Took 'em a game, but the alarm went off. Let's hope they don't hit snooze, 'cause we're playing a real team tonight. Habs are undefeated against the Flyers in the last 7 regular season games. Playoffs, what? I, uh, don't remember anything.
Waiting in line details - 7 PM start, Wachovia center, sight of the Sarah Palin booing Saturday night. Her hair looked fabulous, but that off-white short jacket was not flattering. Since she won't talk about issues, I won't either.
Pay your cover charge to - our old friends Nadine of Flyers.Femme and Kristin of eager to go psycho. How was the off-season ladies? We missed you! See you in the playoffs again god forbid?
Hot sexy Habs to watch - Tangy, Little Tits, Koivu and Jaro's goalposts all had fine games against the Laffs. The PP woke up. Even Gui! is in the NHL Top 20 in scoring. It's an early-season statistical aberration no doubt.
Skanky Habs to watch - Not too many after Saturday. It's early, I'm sure this space will fill up soon.
Not dancing due to too many vodka Red Bulls - the by-now usual suspects, Higgins, Frankie B and Big Georges.
Not dancing for no explicable reason - our boy Chips. Pretty please can he come out and play?
Flyers to watch - it's thanksgiving, I'm too lazy to research today. Nadine and Kristin can clue us in.
Post-game adult entertainment establishment - I'm not too lazy to research strip clubs, and thus recommend Day Dreams (uh, warning? NSFW-ish and sound auto-play) because they GIVE YOU FREE BEER. That's my kind of business policy. And sleeping beauty above is on their website, so I'm sure it's a party place.
Dirty thoughts? You know where they go.

The Tits are back. Ladies and Gentlemen, on stage for your dancing pleasure, the Buffalo Sabres - Game Preview and Open Thread

No need for opening bullshit (scroll down for more season preview stuff), so let's dive in.
Waiting in line details - 7:30 PM start, at whatever the hell the Buffalo arena is not named the Aud. On RDS of course, though the RDS crew won't be quite the same as last year. Both teams are 0-0 to start the season. Habs were 4-3-1 against Buffalo last year.
Pay your cover charge to - Die by the Blade doesn't pull punches and gives good analysis. Ooh, good analysis. Someday we'll have that around here.
Hot sexy Habs to watch - Uh, all of them? We can be optimistic for game one. Kovy and Big Tits looked really solid in the pre-season, as did DOOM. The all-new svelte TFS(tm) looked ready to go.
Skanky Habs to watch - with injuries, Koivu-Tangy-Higgy never really had a chance to get going in the pre-season. We'll put Breezer here for now, just to pile on. And how about Milk Carton Mike for old time sake?
Not dancing due to too many vodka Red Bulls - Higgy, LaRock / LaCock / LaWreck / Tabernaque (all good suggestions, thx everyone), and Frankie B won't be dancing. Let's hope this is not a sign of things to come.
Hot sexy Sabres to watch - how the fuck should I know? This team will probably live and die by Ryan Miller. Derek Roy had a career high 32 goals and Jason Pominville had 80 points last season.
Skanky Sabres to watch - again, how the fuck should I know?
Let's do some lines - with Higgy out, there are ripples down the whole line-up. Danse à 10 is intact, but then Gui! takes a spot with Koivu and Tangy, GBL will centre Little Tits and Greek Lightning (?!), and Mad Max - Bégin - El Dandy are the 4th line. Chips is fucked over already.
Captain Crunch - mmmm, Cap'n Crunch. Boy I loved when Ally Sheedy made a Cap'n Crunch sandwich in The Breakfast Club (1:30 mark). Claire vs. Allison - discuss. Where was I? Oh, right, captains. Did you know that Saku Koivu is starting his tenth year with the "C"? Wow, I'm getting old. Had there not been a lockout, he would tie Jean Béliveau for the longest tenure as a Habs captain ever. Facing off with Saks will be his old buddy Craig Rivet, he of the zero games played with the team he's captain of.
Post-game adult entertainment establishment - check out 24Kt Gold. Voted New York State's #1 party gentlemen's club by Exotic Dancer Magazine!
Ok kids, the 100th Anniversary crap begins in earnest right now. Let's hear your dirty dirty thoughts in the comments. God I've missed that phrase.

FHF’s Stripperiffic Guide to 2008 NHL Free Agency

We finally thought of an excuse to picture our favorite Featured Performer, Ms. Jenna Jameson. Seriously, there's a reference to her in there somewhere.
NHL Free Agents are alot like strippers. Come July 1st, NHL GM's will be like the guy who just broke up with girlfriend - let's call him Bob. The ex may be a crazy jealous bitch sucking Bob’s will to live, like a 35-year old 12-goal scorer sucking up salary cap space, or a young hottie who was out of your league to begin with, like a 25-goal scoring RFA coming out of his entry level contract. But just like most NHL teams when they reflect on thier last season, most times Bob is disappointed with the outcome of the relationship and he's eager to look around for a better partnership. Bob is out to play the field again – and to pick up the most promising free agents, so to speak.
At times like this, Bob feels the need to make a big splash to re-introduce himself to the marketplace. For Bob – being a man, and therefore not being of the best judgment all the time, thinking with something other than his brain and all - this means heading down to his favourite gentlemen’s club somewhere on Ste Catherine Street Ouest. For NHL teams, this means chasing FAs at noon on July 1st. In both cases, wallets are open looking for entertainers. Both are willing to overpay, and in their desperate rush to hook up with a free agent, their perception of the true value of the entertainers is fucked up. In other words, too often both of these poor souls are about to overpay for similar disappointing results.
In order to help both Bob and NHL clubs, FHF relies on its years of personal research to bring you our stripperific guide to this summer’s NHL Free Agents. Hopefully this will allow our favorite team - and Bob - to avoid any unfortunate mistakes in thier relationships, like asking Sergei Samsonov out to dinner again.
The “Featured Performers”
They’re absoluely drop-dead gorgeous, everyone a perfect "10", and they bring exceptional talents to the table (hehe). You’re pulling out your wallet before you’ve even saddled up to the stage, because this kind of entertainment is going to cost you both kids’ college funds.
NHL translation: Cream of the UFA crop. Best talent available, but they’ll demand a premium in remuneration and commitment. Bob will need to pull out his ATM card and find a comfortable chair. NHL GM`s will need to pull out a calculator and find a capologist. While the talent is undoubtedly there, it'll keep costing Bob until 2015.
Montreal is rumoured to have offered Mats Sundin $8M over 2 years, which seems fair given it's a short term deal. If Ryan Malone can score $7M per (although it is front-loaded), someone will give Marian Hossa $8.5M a year over 5+ years. And they better have a centre like Crosby to get him the puck if they expect him to score at his playoff pace. Montreal has a shot at one, not both. Brian Campbell may be the prototype for the New NHL with his skating and puck-moving skills, but it`s hard to believe he`ll be a perennial Norris trophy candidate, which is why he`ll be overpaid at $7-8M per for more than 4 years. Although there are rumours linking Campbell to Montreal, it seems unlikley with two $5M plus defencemen already. The Blackhawks are supposedly ready to offer $8M per.

The “Main Stage Attractions”
They’re hot and have no major flaws. All you need is one drink to get your motor running and start to forget about how you lost out on the featured performer of the evening.
NHL translation: Not the top-tier/big name catches, but solid upgrades for the top two lines/defensive pairings.
Michal Roszival May be the 2nd best defencemen available, but shouldn’t command more than $3.5M per. The Rangers and Oilers could get into a bidding war over Wade Redden, resulting in a conmtract worth north of$4M per for more than 3 seasons -well out of the Habs' price range. Brian Rolston arguably belongs in the featured performer this off season, but doesn`t have the big name recognition of the top tier guys – yet. If he moves to a major hockey centre (say, Vancouver?), his profile might skyrocket (of course, Brian’s skyrocket won’t carry his reputation close to Roberto Luongo’s Jenna Jameson-like heights.) His point total might skyrocket playing with Vinny in T.Bay, and he also would be the next best option for Montreal after Mats & Marian. Cristobal Huet is the best goalie available, but as Habs fans know all too well, he may be good, but he hasn’t proven to be great over the long haul. Still, a team like Tampa or LA will keep the Frenchmen knee deep in Camembert for as long as he wants. Corey Stillman seems to score wherever he goes, so he might rope some poor GM into giving hm $3M plus a year, even though he’s a complimentary player at best. Andrew Brunette would be a cheaper, but less flashy option with less upside. With the addition of Tanguay, don't look for these guys in a Canadiens uniform next year.
The “Mid-Week Stalwarts”
In the dark corners of your favourite gentlemen’s club, there's nothing wrong with them. However, exposed to the harsh light of day their drawbacks are accentuated. Best enjoyed after a least a couple of drinks.
NHL translation: good players, if they play a limited and set role they can be useful. However, exposed to the harsh light of a March road game, their drawbacks are accentuated. Due to injuries or off-seasons, their stocks have dropped - and in theory, so should thier salary. In theory.
Brendan Morrison would be in the last group if not for an injury plagued season; someone desperate at centre (i.e. Columbus) might make a big pitch, including MTL if they strike out with Mats & Marian, although he is smallish. Brad Stuart has to decide between more money in SoCal or a better fit in Detroit, where he excelled in a limited role. Supposedly some Montreal fans see him as our 4th D, but that ain't happening. Kristian Huselius could be a steal on the right team at the right price, which means Atlanta will overpay for him and he’ll be on waivers in 3 years. Montreal is better off with Tanguay. Mike Commodore may be one dimensional but seems to have a Tie Domi-like cult following; hopefully NHL GM`s will figure out it won`t take much to overpay considering his limited potential - I am confident Gainey will. Much has been made of Mark Streit’s versatility, but he says he wants to be a full time defenceman. He’ll be a small defenceman (just like half of Montreal’s back end), but some other team is going to give him more than his track record commands anyway. We’ll see how he handles a different role than in Montreal - and he is undoubtedly gone if Mats or Marian signs. Jay Pandolfo may be the latest in the seemingly annual July 1st ritual of free agents fleeing New Jersey – but Pandolfo may regret leaving considering his style is so suited to his current team. Ron Hainsey may have some offensive skills, but doesn’t play an all-around game or use his size - like the stripper who is packing the 36 double d’s beneath a thin layer of lingerie, it still looks nice, but you're inevitably left wanting more.
The “Last Calls”
Some moderate to major flaws are apparent, but still enough there to be interesting - especially after several rounds of shots.
NHL Translation: Over-the-hill free agents or those more interested in off-ice puruits (Alex DAigle ruled this category before he retired). These guys come with baggage. And unlike the NFL, NHL GM’s seem to care about their player’s drunken rule-breaking.
Todd Bertuzzi is a grumpy headcase who needs very strong lockeroom to keep him reined in. Still has a huge profile, so he'll get another shot - HF4 hopes in Montreal. I doubt it. The question with Jose Theordore is who will show up: Focused, athletic and intuitive Theo? Or I’m-a superstar-who-can-bang-whorish-celebrities, flopping, erratic Theo? Either way, is that a smart $5M gamble on anything longer than a year? Sean Avery may be a total jerk, but would thrive in the right environment, which he had in NY. Rumour is now T.O., which would make for a great porno starring Long Don Cherry and Shot From Behind Sean Avery. Admit it, you loved Darcy Tucker in Montreal. Question about him is really the same as for Milk Carton Mike Ryder: was last season a blip or a sign of things to come? Ray Emery is a mess who might be playing the wrong sport.
The “You believe them when they say they’re 23” Girls
These are the girls that seem too good to be true – too sweet, too girl-next-door, too, umm, underage. One major problem: often have a “Pretty Woman” complex and expect you to profess your undying love, publicly.
NHL translation: RFA’s. NHL GM’s show their love with huge front-loaded numbers and lengthy contracts which, in retrospect, all too often seem to take lifetimes before expiry. They're attractive because they're young and usually haven't hit thier peak. If there is movement here, look for a trade rather than a free agent offer sheet.
Jay Boumeester and Mike Green headline this group, as two of the best young defencemen in the game. It seems unthinkable that Washington wouldn’t do anything to keep Green feeding Ovie 90-foot passes – even if a lot of those passes end up going in the other direction. Boumeester could move, as Jacques Martin seems to have followed the path walked by all too many Quebecers: after moving to Florida, the slow, relentless decent into senility and madness was inevitable. Corry Perry isn't going anywhere, unless Brian Burke really is going to Toronto at the end of the seaason and he scams his way into giving Perry to the Leafs.
The “You can tell they’re pushing 35 even if they don’t admit it” Women
On the other end of the spectrum: you’re wondering whether they take their kids to work with them.
NHL translation: Guys who were stars when Don Cherry was relevant.
Take your pick : Jaromir Jagr, Pavol Demitra, Doug Weight, Markus Naslund, Jason Smith, Bobby Holik and Mike Peca. Only Jagr seems even likely of ever having a major impact again. None of them are getting any better, so contract length is key cause NHL teams are on the hook for any salary given to an over 35 year old. Right, Cliff Fletcher?

Pulling Out All the Stops for the (Potential) Last Game Preview and Open Thread

I have been saving this stripper six-pack for a special occasion. The game where we needed all the help we could get. Well, that game is now. Win or go home. Do or die. Backs against the wall. My god, I've become a cliché-ridden sportswriter. Fuck that shit. You know we just gotta play 'em one game at a time, and the good Lord willing, things will work out. Wait, what?
Waiting in line details - 7 PM, bla bla bla.
Really nice Flyers fans who would never do stupid shit - The fine bloggers of Flyers. Femme, eager to go psycho, Flyers Goal Scored By, and Cuseadelphia.
Hot sexy Habs to watch - hmmm, hmmm, uh, Koivu is working hard. The blonde who sits behind Carbo.
Hot sexy Flyers to watch - all of 'em, with Marty Biron and Danny Brière at the top of the list. We're losing 3-1, in case you didn't notice.
Skanky Habs to watch - a long list, but my focus is on Kovalev. Where the fuck has he been this series since a decent Game 1? The only time I've heard his name is in relation to the phrase "loses the puck." By extension, the Habs PP blows;
Tragically, Cedric Desjardins injured his groin (at Club Downtown) and won't play - Price gets the start. Can he earn back the TFS(tm) tag?
Carbo tries to coach, simply reverts back to old form - besides the always big move of pulling a tie off a tie rack, Carbo comes up with these lines for tonight - the old Danse Ă Dix Line, the old SlowGreekBang line, Koivu-Higgins-Little Tits, and the rest (SwissLaLa). Man, I am going to be pissed when Ryder pots 40 for some Southern team next year.
Stupid factoids of the week that may only interest Peter King - Habs have only "led" a game in this series once, when we scored in OT of Game 1. The last NHL team to come back from a 3-1 deficit was in fact the Habs in 2004 against Boston. The double-shot non-fat latté at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport Starbucks is terrible.
Post-game adult entertainment establishment - if the Habs are eliminated, we're going on a drunken meth-fueled rampage through the strip clubs of Montreal like you wouldn't believe. Be sure to catch the arrest and arraignment on your late local news.
Maybe for the last time, let's hear your dirty, dirty thoughts in the comments.
