not a bad signing at all. Now, if Babs can just sign Beachemin our defense will actually be pretty decent, especially considering now we have a real coach.
As much as I like Komisarek, he isn't worth 6 million. My only annoyance is that Babs didn't negotiate with him during the season.
Mirtle is reporting that Hal Gill has signed with us, 2yrs, 4.5 million.
I agree that Gainey should have tried negotiating during the season, but the fact is we have no idea if he tried of not.
If I was Komo's agent, for sure I would NOT have accepted negotiations during the season when my player's value was at its lowest point...
Hal Gill is ok so long as we still get Beauchemin or Komisarek. as a replacement for Bouillon he's not bad.
He's got to be better than Breezer and O'Byrne, right?
