In the video of "Canadiens Draft Lookahead", John Liu of TSN states unequivocally that the Habs will "take the best player available when their turn comes around" (at the 0:34 mark).
My god, it's like they can see into the future or something. No need to watch the draft now.

To be fair, Reggie, Serge and Irv Grundman almost never took the best player available, so this strategy might be confusing to TSN.
Two words: Brent Bilodeau.
David Wilkie?
we could do this for a while. reminds me of Five for Smiting's post
Lindsay Vallis, Terry Ryan, Turner Stevenson (the fact that he was the best of the bunch tells you something).
This has nothing to do with the draft, but Glenn Healy took a job with the NHLPA. First Bob Cole and now Glenn! I just need to get rid of Grapes and Kelly Hrudey and English broadcasts will become almost pleasant.
You guys are missing the bigger picture.
The good people at TSN know that this isn't particularly hard-hitting news.
They're just hoping that, now that they have the rights to use the HNIC theme, people will hear the theme song and just assume that they're tuned into the CBC... and they won't be tipped off that there has been a change by any *gasp* insightful commentary.
They're giving Canadians a total mental mind fuck. It's brilliant, really...
ms, what's wrong with Hrudey?! he's great !
im happy you guys posted about this... at work, our computers can't play any videos, so i was excited to get home and watch it. after it was done i was like "wtf that's IT?!"
that was the most generic bullshit video i've ever seen in my life
