I'm going to repeat something I tweeted last night:

I can't understand why people (habs fans, my dad included) like Tim Thomas. I don't give a fuck if he's a good guy. HE'S A FUCKING BRUIN. THAT IS ALL.

Steve said...

Get over it, I tell myself that every time the Bruins win. We lost 3 games in OT, we should be there. If Guy was behind the bench instead of Chocula? If the Mexican't had been benched? If there was a breakaway set play for PFK? IF IF IF fufuujldsjfldkadlf!

Happy Birthday Bob!!!

Hadulf said...

(don't shoot me)

That was a fucking crazy save...Seriously, we have to give credit to Timmeh on this one.

Die Bruins Die!!!

Hadulf said...

And Steve's right...3 fucking loss in OT...including the 7th game...

Still stings a bit when you think about it...

So, drop the fucking puck already!

I haven't and wouldn't waste 5 seconds of my life watching those fucking assholes. The only NHL game I've watched since Montreal was eliminated was the Vancouver - San Jose game last Sunday.

I watched a really good game last night between the QMJHL's Saint John Sea Dogs and the OHL's Owen Sound Attack vying for a berth in the Memorial Cup final. I know it's only junior hockey and it is an acquired taste, but you couldn't get two teams trying harder with two good young goalies standing on their heads. There are some really skilled players on both teams who will be coming to an NHL rink soon. Really, when you have league champions playing each other it's not much different than the World Juniors at Christmas, which most hockey fans love to watch.

Anyway, fuck the Booons and the Bolts with Vinnie the traitor can kiss my ass. I wouldn't give them the time of day. Buttman and Jacobs have the whole thing fixed.

Steve said...

@Maritimer fucking Burka says he is going to trade up and get the top DOG.

Hadulf said...

@Steve, maybe, just maybe, Burka will give the Broons another 1st rounder for Horton!

the Maritimer said...

@Steve - what's Burka gonna trade - Dave Nonis????? Hahahahaha!!!!!

I'd love for the goat to get Huberdeau but it would be cost prohibitive, probably PFK for starters. Nope, just another wet dream. JH is probably going to Florida or New Jersey. Fuck, another francophone star wasting away in Buttman's hinterland hell of hockey.

@29 Bob Dylan turned 70 today and it is the duty of every blogger, commentator, in the megaverse to pay some sort of tribute, because without Bob Dylan there would be no Internet, no people busy being born so they could get busy dying, no FHF and moeman for fucking sure no Clash.

And every time I get into a debate with Ezra Levant, he always says " so you say you have Jewish friends, well name one" I can always say "Bob Dylan'

@Steve - done!

Steve said...

@29 thanks, I never feel like I'm working on Maggies farm when I am here.

wow, i have to admit that was a great save. timmy sure does make alot of crazy highlights

soperman said...

I am hoping for a Nucklehead vs. Broons final so I will be very happy no matter who loses!

The ultimate schaudenfreude.

soperman said...

@ maritimer

I will be pulling for the Seadogs tonight but that all ends in September, Buddy.

Steve said...

Okay that was a great save, but it was a bad shot. Check out any great save, and ask yourself, did the shooter make the high percentage play, in most cases no. Someone has to teach this current crop of shooters how to raise the puck when down low.

Another project for Chocula:

after he finishes the set play to breakaway PFK. Say that three times and you will be a Dylan fan.

Bob Cole & co. = Idiot Wind

Steve said...

@Anon (2:40), reveal yourself sir, you seem to be some kind of genius

It was in another lifetime
full of power and grace
We would face young
Danny Heatly, and be scared
like we had no system in place
But now we know its not so bad
to have the mexican't
instead of that lad
So dont be down on Dylan's Birthday
When your a FHF contributant
Its never sad

Orangeman said...

You know who shares a birthday with Bob? Hint: Nothing rhymes with him. On this date in history (2010) the Habs were eliminated from the playoffs and Lost ended it's run.*

*It was May 24th in Korea anyway.

Steve said...

@orangeman it was either ob or crown beer?

And every Karoke bar in the world has a bob song.

Steve said...

I really thought, I would go some version of viral, like maybe 10 hits with Bob Dylan. Not that anything I said or done, I would not have done at any bar or restaurant. Maybe I just do not have the chops to be Lady Gaga, or in my case Lady gag(on this).

moeman said...

Bob, an idol, reveals he was addicted to heroin. Meth is simpler dude.

Go Nucks!

Number31 said...

Fuck the Bruins. Floppy Timmeh and his "you never know which goalie he'll be on the next shot" crap is just another way to say "wildly inconsistent and has no idea wtf he's doing" yet it's apparently praised. Then they win and their media still turns around to taunt Habs fans when that was so three series ago asshats.

I say McQuaid finally does put the puck in his own net like he almost did game 7 in OT.

Steve said...

@Moeman dissing Bob on his birthday? Look at the source and think of the consequences. So on the eve of his 70th birthday the BBC find a tape he made in 1966 saying he was a reformed Junkie. Your a hard man Moeman.

moeman said...

Love Dylan, listen to him regularly. Shuttle on the iPhone kicks into his tunes geniusly. His duos with Johnny Cash might be the best combo music ever made. Heroin is harsh and hard, meth is like ice cream, sweet sexy FHF ice cream.

Orangeman said...

I don't listen to Bob. I find him irritatingly pompous. A couple of his songs are alright, though. As a songwriter, though, spectacular. It's completely night and day with me.

Steve said...

@moeman, Girl from the North Country, okay you check out, Orangeman, its not pretentiousness if you say it 20 years before its time.

Steve said...

Lets just make this clear for all the children. Bob Dylan is the Habs, Garry Glitter is the Bruins, and Ted Nuget is the PHucktards. If you need more information you know where to go. I mean my failed blog not google you kids.

Orangeman said...

Yeah, he said it. That's why I think he's a terrific writer, one of the best we've seen. But his voice and persona...ugh. Personal opinion. You know me, born in the 80s so MJ is the height of musical performance and I will not deviate from this line even with threat of violence.

moeman said...

Following Steve's stream of thought (consciousness is a big word), the leaf is Milli Vanilli.

Also, in 1972 Bill Cosby won an award for, comically, teaching kids about drugs.

Message to today's kid --> Die. Bruins. Die.

Rips it, scores! said...

Bulldogs were robbed, apparently. Conceded the series winning goal with 1:13 left, one which shouldn't have been given (haven't seen it yet). Then a certain goal was stopped by a Houston player's glove in the crease with 2.6 seconds left. Surprise surprise, no penalty shot called.

Why on earth is there no video review in the AHL?

Number31 said...

FUCK YOU KOHARSKI. Dogs lose on a controversial goal. Apparently you have to freeze the puck for 5 years before he blows it dead. And a hand on the puck with no call to finish it off. Oh and no video review 'cause the AHL is SHIT.

Having Terry Koharski officiate playoff games is like allowing two Chris Lees take care of Game 7 of the Cup finals.

Number31 said...

LOLongo.

Number31 said...

Last time I saw Anderson Cooper he was acting like a moron in Hurricane Katrina, hiding behind a mailbox and something flew by nearly cutting off his head on live tv. Now he's standing out in Joplin "near a brick building and under an overhang clear of debris" just as the tornado warning sirens go off. He keeps talking. And talking. And talking.

So next time I see him he'll probably be by Mount St Helens as the volcano readies itself for another explosion right?

Number31 said...

And Gary Bettman cries.

Well, it's been Vancouver's to lose from pretty much the start. And did they always give out Conference Champ hats?

Anonymous said...

oh crap... now we'll have to endure buckets of toranna's Olympic bid....

not because they want the Olympics, but because they really want to go to the cup final.
