The Morning Skate for Monday, May 18th

Bullet points for what you missed while having nightmares of screwing up your line-up card and forcing an American Leagues pitcher to hit...
  • The Wings-Hawks game was much closer than the 5-2 Wings final indicates, if you ask us, though most of that was due to the Bulin Wall. Very entertaining hockey game. We could get used to that. But frankly, it looks like the Hawks may be over-matched in the end, just like this game;
  • The Habs have been sold!
  • Just checking if you're still paying attention.
Pens-Whalercanes get it going tonight. Happy holiday, Canadians and Canadiens.

Maybe the Habs need random dance routines to confuse or distract the media. Hmm...

I wonder how many time will we be subjected to replays of Eager's skate nearly slicing Burish's head off this series. (Thank god for luck and new technologies).

As per tsn, Roy offered Nordilanche's Coaching job. Wonder if the Colorado media will be in a snit because of his French accent.

Well played FHF's, well played.

Also what's going on with this?

"Roy would take over the job from Tony Granato, who reportedly has yet to be notified of his firing by the Avs. Granato has two years remaining on his contract which he signed prior to this past season."

TSN's all like, "I guess we have to report this but shouldn't the Avs have told Granato here was fired? Hmm... maybe we can drop them a hint."

Apparently Guy Boucher has been hired to coach in Hamilton next season. This is probably a very good thing from everything I've heard about this guy.

@DC - it's a holiday, i can't afford wasting energy on original thought. you're right tho, we're better than that. here's a Russian supermodel in lingerie to make up for the laziness

@moey - Kim is rescued, Jack lives, Tony is imprisoned, the world is saved, life goes on. but yeah, I agree, it's a tough choice

That's the first time EVER I've laughed at that Rick Astley thing- and I was devastated to find that the link to the Russian supermodel actually was a link to a Russian supermodel. Shoulda been Rickrolled TWICE.
