Beam us up, baby!

So a local journalist is trying to lobby the Habs to have William Shatner sing the national anthem before a Habs game this year to celebrate the 100th anniversary and the Montreal-ness of the whole thing, or something. Here's a taste of what we can expect. It would be beyond awesome. Go sign the petition.

*Sincerest apologies to HF10 who despises when I even mention Star Trek on this blog

UPDATE - Just wanted to link to the original blog post from the "local journalist", Kristian Gravenor.

Trek Rocks. Been waiting for a Trek Classic-NHL crossover. Gotta happen.

Need a break, read Coolopolis' latest. It'll take the edge off of KTops too long of a suspension.

Sure, Shatner singing the anthem sounds like a good idea but when Price tears his groin because play didn't start until an hour after the anthem started will it still be a cool idea?

Wow, that was poetic. Shatner took that song home after a romantic evening out and banged the shit out of it, then gave it $20 for a cab and told it "he's had better"
