Habs sign some guy only Panger's heard of

Habs just announced that they have signed David Desharnais to a two-year, two-way contract. As I read that article closely, it says he played three pre-season games with us this year and even recorded two assists. Man, I really did not pay attention to pre-season, because I swear I never heard of him (make your own meth joke here).

We are going to need a game soon before I lose it.

I guess I'm the only one who got really excited when I heard about this signing. Desharnais was seriously fantastic during the pre-season. Excellent puck awareness, great passing and a surprising scoring touch. His line with D'Agostini and Stewart was consistently high-energy and fun to watch.

Had he been about a foot taller, I don't think that there would have been any doubt about his making the team... Unfortunately, he's yet another one of our talented-yet-small centers/forwards. I hope he doesn't get lost in the shuffle as a result of it.

LG, if you're excited, I'm excited. I trust you.

i do sort of vaguely remember hearing about that line in pre-season, now that you mention those other names

He's small but built like a horse. This guys is great! I've been hoping he makes an appearance on the team one day, and not just preseason...
