The Morning Skate for Saturday, September 1st - Special Moving On Edition

Bullet points for what you missed while dreaming of the Wazwan prix fixe menu at the Tabla Bread Bar on Madison Avenue. Fucking awesome...
  • FHF is now a flame-free zone, at least from our end. We love New York, that's it, time to get back to hockey (but look out ___s fans, your team may be next);
  • Canada secures at least a tie in the "Super" Series by beating Russia 4-2 this morning in Siberia to sweep all four games in Russia. No sign of Kyle Turris' mom. Still 4 games for a sighting;
  • The NHLPA is pretty messy. Still no executive director, no one shows up at their annual summer meeting, and Eric Lindros' concussion-damaged head is prominently involved;
  • The sports and hockey worlds are abuzz (as much as any hockey story can create buzz) over this awesome Dallas Stars billboard:

Heh. Mark Cuban likes it, that's good enough for us.

September 1!!!! Hockey season!!!! Woo-friggin-hoo!!!!
