Guy Gets His Early Father's Day Gift

No one this pretty could survive jail!

In glorious, yeah-I'm-a-homer-because-Guy-is-the-shit news today, a very wise, awesome judge has decided to allow that paragon of fatherhood St. Guy of Thurso off with a suspended sentence and a $100 fine for doing what any mega-talented, greatest hockey player ever coolest man on earth dad would do for his horrible delinquent scumbag borderline child predator son. Guy lies to the judge, admits he helped his son break curfew to hook up with a child and gets a $100 fine? Was Colin Campbell the judge? If Knuckles Nilan had done this, he'd be looking at life with no parole. The stars do get all the calls in this fucking league.

The Flower (the ORIGINAL Flower, fucking Pens fans) just dug into his pockets, found some loose change and said "this should cover it. I'm going for a smoke"

The flower should go work for the leaf.

Guy's lawyer says they are appealing. WTF? They don't want to give $10K to CHarity?

I don't think it's the money they're appealing, but the conditions that go with his sentence. I do belive he'll have a criminal record now which may interfere in some things like crossing the border or whatever.

Drunk drivers get off easier... But seriously, his son better be giving him the best damn father's day thank you ever.

The thing is, he's on probation for 1 year along with that 10k 'mandatory donation'.
So if Flower Power so much as thinks about getting out of line again, BANG he's going to prison for some state funded ass deflowering sessions.

I think that's what they're appealing...

No, they're appealing the conviction, full stop. They filed their appeal a few months ago after the conviction was handed down, well before the sentencing decision.

A criminal record will massively fuck with his ability to travel anywhere, especially the U.S.
He's basically not allowed into the USA now, which could be crippling for his charity work.

Why this went to trial and his laywer didn't try to get some kind of conditional slap on the wrist to be expunged later is frickin' beyond me.

You guys are missing the big pictUre. Guy is going to be delayed at least 10 minutes if he flies to Hawaii. Poor guy (as in "person", not as in "GUY!GUY!GUY!").

Actually, the problem is that, with a criminal conviction, he can't actually GO to Hawaii...
