"I'm really not an asshole all the time" - Sean "Douchebag" Avery

OK, last mention of PJ Stock we swear. Yesterday while we were shooting the shit during a commercial break, we discussed the Sean Avery interview on CBC's The Hour with George Stromboloupoloupopos. HF4 dug it up on YouTube, and it's well worth 12 minutes of your time on a Friday. What else you gonna do, work? Some choice quotes, beyond the title of this post, include:

Re Don Cherry - "he really does not know shit about hockey"

"Open up a magazine and see my track record, I don't think I'm that gay"

"(Toronto) didn't want me, can you imagine that?... Did I want to play in Toronto and be in last place for the next three years?"

Gold, Jerry, gold.

Tucker is an ass, but this guy is the absolute worst. Would love to see Phaneuf take a run at this guy... maybe he can get something full-time at Vogue.

Avery's saying that shit b/c we didn't want him. Had we showed him the dollars, he would have been here in a heartbeat.

And Sundin says hi, again, fellas. Mother fucker is still picking his nose, but passed along his greetings anyway.

I hate to admit this, but I kind of liked Avery in that interview. But the "eliminate montreal" was really a pussy, p-c answer. I'd rather he said move Nashville to Kingston or something.

I'm a Rangers fan and I still think Avery's great. His shelf life had kind of expired in New York, but on the whole he's good for the game. Whether you like him or dislike him, he keeps things interesting on and off the ice.
