Ko-vy! Ko-vy! Ko-vy!

Not sure if we'll have a real game review at some point on this lazy Sunday. I just wanted to give two quick impressions from the Bell Centre yesterday, and they're both Kovy-related. The building was fucking dead at the start of the game. One exception - when Kovy was introduced on the scoreboard during the player intros. You'd have thought The Rocket (who Kovy gets paired with on the scoreboard) himself had come back.

And talk all you want about Kovy's killer pass to Pleks (0:14 mark) or his steal-and-bury-it goal (0:40), but I will always remember the play that didn't make this 5 minute highlight reel. Kovy on the PK, diving to clear the puck from the zone. I have a tear in my eye just thinking about it.

Combine Kovy's performance with the Semitic Saviour of the Power Play, and Bob is looking like a frakking genius.

Well I agree seeing Kovie dive to put that puck out on th ePK was a sign of his intent...I said to the wife at 4-0 "here is where they relax" and bang bang it's a game agin..but hopefully Kovie can carry this on even if he is doing it to show up Gainey..we all come out winners..Gainey is not an idiot and Carbo can coach..just was nice to the players work for a change..add Latendress and Tanguay without a trade and we should be flying into the playoffs...

a great win but give up 47 shots to bottom feeders doesnt give me a warm fuzzy feeling..

Boone mentioned Hamrlik and Komi not playing up to snuff lately. It does seem that neither are playing with the usual confidence. Is it just that tough part of the long season and they need to save a little vim and vinegar for the stretch into the playoffs? Or what? Letting the opposition take pot-shots all game is a problem, but all the penalties taken were the principal cause of that.

47 shots? Most of them were thanks to the refs attempting to give the Sens the benefit of a comeback in the 3rd. Hey, you can't say they didn't try to hand them back the game.

But who cares, the Kova-love is back and I am happy for it.

Speaking of love, Sergei says he loves Habs and Bulldogs fans. Awww~

I would have traded AK for half a bag of pucks but it looks like Gainey did much better than that and got last year's model back

hats off to both of them and long may it continue (all the way into June, please!)
