Please, hot chicks, help us! Avs quickie preview and open thread

Some quick notes - 9 PM on TSN. Chips was recalled and made it to Denver, but I don't think he's playing. Rhino is a healthy scratch. Jaro starts. Don't ask about the lines. Bar Refaeli is the hottest woman in the world (this week), and we hope and pray she can help us. If she can't, really, who can?

Go read HF10's Ten Things to Hate in the next post to psyche you up for the game, and Go Pants. I don't have the faith or the balls to write Go Habs.

Let's hear your fave all-time SI Swimsuit cover model in the comments. For you kids, you should know they used to have these things called "magazines" which were made of paper and had, like, stories and pictures and stuff. And SI put hot women in bikinis on the cover once a year. Now get off my lawn.

Habs win tonight. Yeah I said it. You wanna fight about it?

Although word verification may have some eerie computer esp, because my word was "Cyangen" which seems like a good word for a pharmaceutical hallucinogen.

You heard it hear first, er second as Panger's already said the habs will win.

I think this swimsuit issue has the best cover ever. They really raised the Bar on this one (zing!)

Fuck, looking at that picture made me feel like a winner. I was going to come on and comment that I felt a victory coming on, but you guys had already beat me to it.

There is a MFing W on the horizon...if she'd just crouch down a little bit...

Apparently, the second period tonight from the Colorado feed will be in black and white in honour of the Canadiens' 100th anniversary. They say it's so people can know what it was like to watch hockey when it first started appearing on TV.

Might be fun to watch.

Interesting to note: The game is on TSN, but no mention on their site about the black and white thing. Sportsnet has the story though (http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/2009/02/13/canadiens_avalanche_gameday/)

@Tom: Obviously it's not on their site, they're not going to promote watching it on another channel.

From the Sportsnet game preview:

Andrei Kostitsyn, tied for the team lead with 18 goals, hasn't scored in the past four games. However, Robert Lang, who also has 18 goals, has two in the last three, and Alex Kovalev has an assist in three straight.

GBL's on a roll! He's totally getting a hat trick tonight

On the CH's ever-morphing lineups: Does Carbo randomly pick names out of a hat or is he trying to solve the following 3rd grade math problem:

using real life physical examples to solve this problem, how many possible line combinations can you form out of an 18-man roster?

On a positive note, Jaro's looking pretty solid so far. Hey Breezer just scored! 2-0! Good idea letting him out of your trunk.

The black & white "flashback" coverage of the second period is pretty damn cool.

so... there's enough swimsuit pics in the archives to get us through the season, right?

screw the season - we have to save a lot up for the playoffs

Has Montreal realized they are permitted to shoot at the Colorado goalie? They don't have to leave it all up to Halak.

Habs win! I can practically taste the champagne which will be supped from Lord Stanley's Cup come the first week in June!

Halak! Halak! Halak!

Wow was Montreal ever outshot by a ton.

Jaroslav Halak has just maybe saved the season.

Word verification: "bastr", which is two letters short of "Darcy Tucker".

My word is: Satievac. I think it means this win evacuated Satan from the room? Or maybe it's just Slovakian for "Where the hell did my D go?"

Jeebus. Those westerners who are alle hooked up on CORSI and whatnot are having a field day right now...

Hehe, my word is "Avere"

Indeed.

You guys made it into The Globe and Mail

"I'm going to go and cry," wrote another on the delightfully profane Four Habs Fans blog.
