- Who smells goalie controversy? Jaro's 34 saves lead the way in a 3-0 Habs win. Habs were totally outplayed especially in the 2nd and 3rd, but we'll save the recriminations for later;
- Philly proves they are a force in the East with a 4-2 win over the Caps;
- The Sens take care of the Canes 4-2;
- B's bring the Panthers back to Earth with a 6-1 win;
- Souray bags a pair in the Oilers' 5-3 win over the Bolts.

Winning two in a row makes the Habs the hottest team in the East! WOO HOO! Glad the bar is so high.
Please, pretty please let Jaro write the review for yesterday's game!!! We need to hear from our no. 1 goaltender!!
(and my voice is shot from the booing... 29, if you didn't think we were that loud, clearly the mikes weren't working on the RDS feed!)
@LG - I was actually thinking that, that maybe RDS was muting to make it sound not so bad
You still think Carbo should be fired?
@hockeyzombie. not really. maybe. i don't know. i looked at it this morning and thought about taking it off. but then i decided that two games where we were totally outshot and mostly outplayed and saved by good goaltending were not Carbo's get out of jail free card
29 - while I thought that Carbo made ridiculous rookie mistakes last year and I was skeptical of his ability to coach, I'm slowly starting to see how he could develop into a very good coach... if given enough time to do so. It's the same thing that happened to Julien, IMHO.
That being said, I still think that Bob Gainey should have been the Habs' coach for the next decade, with Carbo as his assistant. But it's too late to go back to that now.
The coach that I would most like to see fired is Roland Melançon, but that's something I've been squaking about for years...
Jaro just saved Carbo's job.
I listened to the game on Vancouver AM radio while driving back from Revelstoke in a blizzard. Just about drove off the road with every Jaro save. The Boo-mic was turned way up for the broadcast to the point that my girlfriend asked "why does it get all static-y every time Sundin touches the puck?"
HI/O reports BGL wants to be traded, because he doesn't get enough ice time. Wow. Does it ever end?
Carbo should have been fired the day the players had their closed door team meeting.
Once the team thinks that the coach can't help them, then he's lost his team.
Jaaaaaaro, où es-tu ? Tu me manques.
Tell us how Mentreal deefence play like crep and you save Coach Carboner's job haha fat Cari whale. Please?
@the BGL news:
Is asking for a trade now part of the "Code"?
He didn't ask for a trade. He just said he wouldn't be surprised if it happened given his salary... But I guess he just really implied that it's a possibility.
Fek you Mentreal!
When Bégin bitched recently about his lack of ice time, I thought to myself "right on, my brother" (Even though I can't think of who I'd sit for him).
When BGL does it, not only am I unable to think of anyone that I would sit for him, I can make a list of people where I would be ACTIVELY pissed off if he played instead of them.
Shut up BGL. You're overpaid for what you do. Take the money and run.
(continues clicking compulsively while waiting for the Jaro post...)
keep refreshing everyone! I have seen the title and it is good....
