The Game Day Skate for Thursday, November 5th

Bullet points for what you missed while dreaming of winning your 27th championship. Habs are never gonna catch up now...
Not-so-big not-so-bad Bruins tonight. Not that that will help us.

Can someone explain to me how the Yankees have managed to keep winning after all these years. Their 100th anniversary didn't fuck them up.

@GG11, mostly $$$.

I figured that. But in their 100th season Jeter was injured but came back and they didn't end up complete bottom dwellers. Something about the Habs. I bet if we had Ovie he'd be a 20 goal scorer at best. Where we used to be the apex of hockey now we're the black hole of cash grab marketing and suckiness.

@GG11
saddest comment on this blog but oh so very true.

I'm looking forward to your next pic. although I am more partical to male flesh rather than the female variety (which for some unexlpained reason depress me)

WV: orkeine - the Forum ghosts and other orkeine traditions have been forgotten - hence our suckiness with occasional flash of brilliance when dues are paid

How do you think I feel surfing for that and then getting all excited when I find the perfect Friday pic. It's incredibly satisfying and completely repulsive all at the same time (not to mention the perfect fodder for anorexia if I was 12).

GG11 - I admire your dedication to your work!!

Ugh, not sure I really want to watch tonight's game. This week has been such a roller coaster (not the cool kind - the kind where I just want to stop the ride so that I can hurl in peace) and I'm worried about tonight's game.

Can't handle more heartbreak. And losing to the Bs kills me. Every time.
Pass the paxil...

As my soul mate*, DrGG, reminds me regularly, it's only work if there's a paycheck at the end. My photoshop fun would constitute dedication to a "hobby" [resists scratching eyes out as blind surgeons are frowned upon at Jewish General Hospital] that I SHOULD be peddling to actually get that paycheck AND hockey, which if I had to pay for a package in order to watch, I might have thrown in the towel by now as brother of GG - the family psychiatrist and original hockey lunatic - already did. Love. The run on. Sentence.

Between us true blue fans, we we need a regulation road win. Badly. Seems we haven't beaten them since Theo was in nets. For Bruin loving friend of GG family, I've missed the banter so let's get started. Bruins suck, Looch needs a straight jacket, 24 cups, yada yada yada.

LG, come by the your old stomping grounds Saturday morning and you can pray to a different god to shake things up a little. Open bar (Jews don't drink much especially on Saturday at lunch) and if you you convert the next bar mitzvah is half price! With 2 down and 2 to go I need all the help I can get. Ok, enough procrastinating, back to making my life size Rocket Richard chop liver sculpture centre piece.

*total and utter sarcasm even on the eve of upcoming bar mitzvah

It's all clear to me now.
I don't need no steenkin' Paxil.
Alls I need are GG11's beautiful run-on sentences and bar mitzvah angst!!

And for the chopped liver centerpiece - is his stick made of bagel bits? Please say yes...

And I'd take a regulation win, PERIOD, road or home!!

Bagel bits! Brilliant. Man those eyes are even more haunting when made of liver. I bet if I put him on skates and pushed him onto the ice he'd play better defense than what Bob has going right now. And with the 1/2 liver, 1/2 mother-in-law's matzah ball recipe I'm using there is no slap shot in the league than could penetrate that thing. It's like the Markov of kosher cuisine.

No stress here other than not being able to comment on Saturday morning. Maybe Mom of HF29 and I will sneak out for a minute to illegally log on.
