When does the Carbo countdown begin?

Bob won't fire Carbo during the centennial year. MAYBE in the off-season if the habs:
a) don't make the playoffs, or
b) get eliminated in the first round

Do whatever it takes to trade for Vinny. Nobody is untouchable.
And hire Tortorella to coach next year.

Eyewitness report from Panger later today

Does Panger still have eyes, or did he claw them out at last night's Habs Suckstravaganza?

But did we really suck? If AK46 scores on that PP it's 3-3 instead of 4-2. We're just a bit fragile.

Nothing a good old fashioned coach sacking won't change.

I noticed that in the last two Habs wins (LA and Pitts) you posted a split screen picture.

LA win

Pens win

So for the Oilers game can your preview post have a split screen picture? We need all the luck we can muster.

I'm normally not one to say to start making trades and what not, but I think Kovalev's lackadasical attitude is spreading to the younger players. I said in the summer he should be traded then, because you'll never get more for him. Now, it would be hard to get a half-decent draft pick for the unrestricted free agent-to-be.

And the more I think about it, the more I think we need Vinny Lecavillier. Although I didn't like the idea at first, but when was the last time we had a 50-goal scorer (Stephane Richer in the 80s) or a 100-point guy (Mats Naslund in the 80s). Why not bring someone like that into the organization?

No way Torts comes in as coach. Like it or not, our coach will always at a minimum need to be fluent in French, if not outright French-Canadian. Nothing in his resume would indicate that he has even a decent grasp of the French language..

I asked this question over at Habs Inside/Out (while making sure I didn't gratuitously drop F-bombs like I do here) and someone suggested Bob Hartley, who does fit the bill.

Not sure who else would fit the bill. Any hot new coaches down in the Q? Patrick Roy?

This team is playing as tight as a drum, collectively. Missed passes, scoring chances, poor clear outs, simple plays being missed. Cooler heads will prevail amongst Habs mgnt. one hopes. I think they took the day off to go bowling.
I'd like to see Carbo stick with these lines and let them work through it, show them some confidence and he will be rewarded.

Habs blog for sale. Cheap!

I'll give you eight bucks for the blog, and you can have two popsicles out of the freezer.
