The Morning Skate for Thursday, November 26th

Bullet points for what you missed while dreaming of crashing a state dinner...
  • Pittsburgh 3, Hamilton 1. I don't think anyone really expected much with that lineup, and as we said in the open thread, it was really a pretty good effort against the Stanley Cup champs. PatCHes looked like he got killed. We were overmatched, let's move on;
  • Dammit, Leafs win;
  • Brodeur wins, yawn;
  • Boston beats the Wild, who are without Gui! because of visa issues;
  • Marian Hossa debuts for the Hawks, scores two in a 7-2 win.
Happy Thanksgiving to all our American readers out there. May your turkey be moist and your football be Detroit Lions-free.

So...is the FHF Glossary of the Day a new feature, or have I just been too distracted by alcohol & titties to notice. In either event, nice addition.

Woops...gotta respect the site rules. Nice fucking add. Now even shit-for-brains Laffs fans can figure out the comments (assuming they ever pull their head out of Burkie's exposed lap).

Keep up the good work ladies and gentlemen.

I just re-read the epic rant.

Siiiigh. Really starts the morning off on the right foot.

Topic? Pissed I missed the game last night... sounds like it might have been interesting to see.

What pisses me off more? I'm missing the game next Friday (yes, THAT game)... Stupid Christmas concerts for my stupid choir (no, I can't skip them). But Mr. LG77 gets to go... without me... no, I'm not bitter, not at all... *grumblegrumble*

The Lions DID win their last game - although their quarterback who dodged the doctors and then threw a one-armed touchdown pass is officially listed as "doubtful" for the game.

Still, two wins is more than they managed all of last year. :)

Here is the Wild Nation's take on the Pouliot/Tender trade:

This isn't making me optimistic:

"This season, he was given his best chance to succeed under a new coach and a new system that should have been tailor-made for his style of game. Instead of displaying the kind of talent that got him selected fourth overall, Pouliot disappeared early, finding himself as a staple in the Wild pressbox. "

We have a fucking glossary now? I guess the Yahoo takeover bid can't too far off now.
