Scenes from a "protest"

I hope the woman in front rolled up the rim and won

Well, if I may say, that was pretty much a bust. I would estimate the crowd at between 200 and 300 people, not counting the 100 press members. Every now and then the organizer would grab his bullhorn, urge people to sign the petition, and unsuccessfully start a Go Habs Go chant. If you can't even get Habs fans to chant Go Habs Go, the energy level in your group is pretty low. To his credit, the organizer also was raising money for Japan. May have been a bit of a downer.

The pic above may even overstate how many people were there. Anyway, we've got some more pics for you. This first one is a better indication of the crowd I think:

I was obsessed with the guy in the Blues Hull jersey with his giant dog. I've got 10 pics of him. Why is he there? Why with that jersey? If you have a Blues jersey, at least get a Jaro one. Is he from St. Louis? Why would he have a giant dog with him if he traveled from so far? So many questions.

Winner, best sign.

Runner up. Though it is a tad confusing. Does he mean Fuckface Bettman is a Republican?

Winner, best costume. Wasn't even close. I want one of those.

TSN's John Lu works his Blackberry. We had a lovely chat actually. He seemed bored. He estimated the crowd at only about 100, which I thought was low. We agreed to disagree, then we went to Club Downtown where we banged twin Eastern European strippers in the VIP room. I think they were Bulgarian.

Well that about covers it. Fuck the NHL. Get well, PatCHes.

I didn't know 29 was AfriCanadian and really short! Shorter than Jon Loo.

@29 fucking awesome gonzo journalistic, I felt I was there, I went to all my Neighbors afterworld and asked for meth.

moeman said...

Also, Loo is reading that the next miracle leaf kadri was called up and soon realizes he will be drowned out even if he reports from Wanda's.

I was there! Well, for about 2 minutes. But I was just up the road! I feel like I have brushed greatness (John Lu, not you 29).

Jon Loo is no MiCHael Whalen.

I'm not in any of your pictures. I'm a ninja protester.

Will anyone suspend Brad Marchand (FINALLY)?! Little twat gets away with everything. Oh yea, no penalty on the play.

Rule 48 my ass.

What would be really cool is if the Habs all got hockey helmets with the exterior like that brain hat.

Good Work Montréal. Make a statement but don't feed the vultures at the Toronto Sports Network or CBC. They were drooling thinking about burning cars and looting. (Yes I know that Habs fans don't do that but those twats claim it is the fans.)

The radio headlines this morning were "The NHL refuses to Ban Headshots but will stiffen Headshot penalties." Now I am not saying that radio station understands the context but if you won't ban headshot but tacitly admit they are not part of the game by penalizing them, aren't you just tacitly approving of them?

Asswipes.

Burka went all Jihady on Goat and Pits Shero, sound and fury indicating nothing, as reported by the Toronto Star.

Fuck that Marchand is a piece of work. Fucking mouthy little hypocrite talks shit about the Habs being cheap and pulls that bullshit? Someone needs to tear his fucking head right off.

I hope Mara or White gets a hold of that little fucker on the 24th right after someone takes Chara out at the knees.

Hey now! Brad Marchand is a very respectful young man! Trust me, I'm wight on this one!

Montreal should refuse to play Boston until Collie is fired. It is a ridiculous and now life threatening conflict of interest.

Actually, Steve, that article about Blowhard Burke is in the Sun. Apparently he told Goat and Ray Shero to tell their owners to shut up. I hope they told him to Go fuck himself and mind his own business. Those shitheads in Toranna think they run the fucking league. Assholes.

Number 31:

Since he plays for Boston; he is like an ambassador to the game. Don't hold your breath on a suspension.

Steve:

That was amazing! Is it really her?

Steve said...

@Jaybird, not sure I only looked at her birthdate on her ID.

I think the FHF got locked up after the Cop protest, so until they get bail, which could be days if the cops found the meth, is my pre game review review.

TFS is like the Fuckitshima Reactor, becomming more deadly every hour.

DDD is ready for a sports bra.

LEGO - he fits at center, and is now officially way better than a bag of puck

Tits - how hot is Tits, see my HOT post above

The rest of the team, saving those legs for the playoffs, and Mex, great tape to tape passes all night long, next game, try to your teamates.

I've been out of the country, but returned to see "the hit" and turned to see what this blog's opinion is. have to say, i'm pretty impressed. i'll start with the fact that i'm a bruins fan. start the hating, i know. call me a homer, but after patrice bergeron and marc savard, i have a hard time seeing a bruins player deliberately deliver a hit to the head - especially someone like chara, who tries to play clean. however, chara is 6'9" and he doesn't always realize it. he does some pretty fucking reckless things, and this definitely fell on this list. habs fans, we've been there. i cried when patrice was carted off the ice, thinking that such a promising career was ended. i don't ever want to see anyone go off the ice like that....ever.
should chara have been suspended? absol-fucking-lutely.
was the lead in the wrong? you bet your ass it was.
was chara? yup.
but was it a criminal matter? that i have a hard time with.

i had hoped, after the "marc savard rule" that things would change, at least a little. both for the protection of bruins players and montreal players. sorry to see that it isn't so.

@ (sensible) anonymous - very level-headed commentary. well done. you've put your idiotic Bruins brethren (well one in particular) to shame. even if you are a homer, you are one we can live with. no hating here. come back and visit us any time
