Those Panthers must hate Lapierre...he sunk them single handedly two nights in a row!

@matt: it was the Bolts last night, but I guess a Florida hockey team is a Florida hockey team.

Anybody know if there's a pic of Price's classic archer pose from the end of the game? I think that was emotion from the young man!

Happy New Year Everyone.

Max may have been the only decent forward.

At the back everyone was decent to excellent.

@LD - in matt's defence, i changed it from the original "Panthers"

LOVED "the pose".

I wouldn't say our forwards were all that bad last night. As a matter of fact, the Habs created more chances in that game then they have in quite some time...maybe even more than the Panthers game (where they scored four more times).

I thought Kovy was pretty good (though I wish he'd stop trying those low-percentage shots where he's trying to catch the goalie cheating off the short-side post), and Pleks was excellent. He not only had some chances, but his stick-check from behind on Lecavalier saved an almost certain goal. The Energy Line was our best one again (Loved Lats' effort, and Max goes without saying).

Maybe I'm just a glass half-full kind of guy, but the only forward I had an issue with (besides Maxwell, who REALLY needs to get on a bus back to Hamilton ASAP) was Lang. He had 3-4 glorious chances to score, and even though Smith was standing on his head and was clearly the game's first star, he should have cashed on at least one of them.

Look on the bright side: the Habs are finally starting to take care of business in a serious way against these bottom-feeding joke clubs.

Happy New Year to one and all!! Am off to the WJC with Sick!Panger today... Here's hoping we kick the U.S. team's ass tonight.

Here's to many more years filled with meth, strippers, pants, booze, *insert your vice of choice here* and, most importantly, A 25TH STANLEY CUP FOR THE LOVE OF FUCK!!

First timer here. I've been visiting for quite sometime though. The hilarity you bring day after day is almost as funny as the first time I got my redwings.

The reason that I decided to post was that classic Pricey flex pose where he pointed to *Schwarzenegger voice* 'da beach' after besting Vinney. That was fuckin' mint!

Happy New year, that's all folks

Happy New Year FHF! And LG77, for that matter. I think you are the F(ifth)HF. Here's to another year.

Also... does anyone know where Carey's pose comes from? That cracked me up. He's like a little kid, it's so funny.

L Dude said...

@moeman: thanks for the pic link.
@fez: Carey says he thinks he stole it from a football player, but the article says Usain Bolt (ironically or coincidentally?) was the athlete to popularize it this past summer.
Anyway quiet night in watching the game with a few brew for me tonight. Stay safe.

Funny that he pulled off that pose in Tampa.Hulk Hogan is from Tampa. And then you've got Usain Bolt

Price may indeed be a genius.

Also, he's an alright picture of Price posing

god I hope at least one of those pictures works in my post.

Happy New Year! Enjoy the PK Subban show. (What? Tavares? Guess he matters if you're a Sens fan. *ducks*) I enjoyed seeing the Torpedo pull his Frank the Tank moves all over the Russians. Habs prospects rock. And we get the American ones tonight too! Woo!

Hockey and martinis in the comfort of my living room!
