The Morning Skate is shoving a fan on his way to the dressing room for Wednesday, October 20th

The GG11 campaign to bring Souray back to Montreal begins now
Bullet points for what you missed while dreaming of going up 3-1 on the Evil Empire...
  • Those of you who dreamed of Markov coming back this week can forget it;
  • Here's a story about the Habs line-juggling at practice yesterday. Ahh, for the stability of the Carbo years...
  • Things got a little crazy in Minnesota during the Wild's 6-2 win over the 'Nucks. Besides Luongo being terrible, Vancouver's Rick Rypien shoved both an official and a fan on his way to the dressing room after a second period on-ice skirmish;
  • The Bs have survived their season-opening road trip quite admirably (ugh I feel dirty) ending it 3-1 after ending the Caps winning streak with a 3-1 win;
  • Kipper and the Flames blank the Preds 1-0 in OT.
Here's Rypien's fan-shoving video so you can play NHL Wheel of Justice, the home game.

Minny fan was being a douche, but within limits. Rypien's in some deep doo doo. WTF does Minny not have glass between the fans and the visitor's tunnel?

If we've learned anything from the Twins, the only thing that seperates the fans and the action are huge garbage bags.

I would love nothing more than to get into it with an opposing player! i would talk about that shit forever!!!

you lawyers should love it too.... or are you not letigis... (i dont know how to spell that)

I would walk around saying "i took a punch of rick rypien!! it was AWESOME!"

a Wil dfan might not be worth the suspension.
A Flyers fan, now - bring it on

I really dislike the Canucks but while Rypien should be able to show some restraint, I have more distain for fans that taunt players.

I love that commercial with the fan taunting Michael Strahan in the parking lot and he suddenly realizes they are all alone. Strahan flattens him with a very legal hit.

For phuck's sake people enjoy the game, be emotional, but when they come off the ice show some basic respect for an NHL-calibre hockey player and a human being.

Chocula had mega blocks as a kid, does not like Lego. I read Spezza saying Chocula helped his carreer, and then they listed all the players who have played for Chocula and gone on to be front line players. Thats like saying when an apple falls from the tree it hits the ground. Why watch Chicken go through the motions when Lego is puppy?

Fuck Chocula, he is the Harper of coaching.

Guy would not push a puppy face into the pee, but Chocula he likes PP specialist, he hates puppy, PFK plays like puppy, Chocula says bad puppy, Lego plays like Puppy, he put face in Pee.

i understood Steve's last one! Steve is the JeffHK of the 2010-2011 season

@hfotwc - can you (or anyone else reading this) explain what happened with Boone and Todd/Fisher? I heard something about some picture that was pulled but I'm totally lost and have no desire to wade through HIO comments to figure it out

GoldenGirl11 said...

@29
Oh, but go wade through the comments. Two regulars go at it. It's squirmworthy. Especially the part where some yutz name Shiloh calls makka, kakkahead and then makka calls Shiloh a loser. Other than that it was no big deal. The pic was funny and then Mikael took it down.

While gathered at the passover seder this year my parents instructed Mike that if he ever wanted to eat my mother's brisket again he had to like me. And it's really good brisket. Really. He had no choice.

@ GG
or it might be that you had him over to watch a game and drink Mr. GG's scotch. Scotch and mom's brisket, that's a way to make friends.

@ 29
it's worth checking the conversation in Boone's eee-mail under "I love GG11" post. Boone's getting pissed at Carey's detractors...entertaining...
