The Morning Skate for Monday, January 10th

Bullet points for what you missed while dreaming of 45 tonnes of beer...
  • Devils 6, Bolts 3. We really don't understand this league any more;
  • The Canes are nipping at the heels of whoever is in 8th in the East after a 4-3 (OT) win over the Thrash;
  • Stars are hot, beat the Wild 4-0. At least the Little Fuckity-Fuck didn't score;
  • Our old friend Greek Lightning got 6-games from the NHL Wheel of Justice for his hit on Brad Stuart;
  • Puck Daddy sums up HBO's Pens-Caps 24/7 series with their top 24 greatest things about the show. If TMS may stick his nose in for the moment, this was 4 of the most entertaining hours of TV we've ever seen  and you should all go fucking see it, for fuck's sake;
  • Stubbs rehashes "the shove" and its aftermath from The Mexican's (comedic) point of view;
  • JT has the Lord speaking to CHokula.
Good Monday to you kids. How about some video to get you started this week? What's on Habs TV? Let's get to know CHeez Whiz a little better.

On the eighth day the Lord created defense, and all the angels said " God your such a buzzkill"

Schizophrenia is obviously contageous and spreading beyond the Habs to the rest of the leaugue....

WILD 4 PENS 0
WILD 0 STARS 4

BOLTS last 6 games beat the Habs, Rangers, Caps and Sens and lose only 2 games: 8 - 1 against the Pens and 6-3 againt the Devils!!??

THRASHERS in last 5 beat Broons and Habs but lose to the Devils and the Hurricanes the team they most need to beat and to the Laffs 9-3!!??

WTF is going on?

That is all.

Did you guys watch the Cheez Whiz video? This guy had three knee surgeries? Are wonky knees a prerequisite for playing D for the Habs?

Steve said...

@soperman - swollen knees block shots better, the leg is less likely to bend and swelling increases size of blocker

Eller practised today in Cammalleri's spot, with Tomas Plekanec and Andrei Kostitsyn. I asked Eller after practice whether he thought he felt he had something to prove against the Rangers and he replied, "I have something to prove every game. I want to make a statement every game."
