- Well, it's just one game. But FUCK. B's beat the Habs 3-1. A joke of a 5 minute penalty, a hot Tim Thomas and a crappy 3rd period equals a loss against a good defensive team. FUCK. We really wanted that one. Anyway, more later;
- At least the Leafs lost. And Steve Sullivan got a point for the Preds for the first time in forever;
- Sens win?Really? [checks again] Yes, Sens win;
- Oil take care of the Caps 5-2, with Erik Cole getting a hat trick;
- Pens need a battle of PA to finally wake up against the Flyers, 4-2;
- Lundqvist beats the Isles 2-1;
- Sharks crush Vinny 7-1.

Fuckin' Tim Thomas.
Fuckin' ref.
Fuckin' Breezby. (though his penalty too was sketchy).
Will Weber get another look against the Preds? I hope so.
When you sit down for the 1st faceoff and you see the name of Chris Lee on the game referees list, you know that your chances to win just went down 50%...
As a lifelong habs fan, I have to tell you that the 5 min major on Big Tits was justified and in my opinion is a suspendable offense. Andrei has made those hits from behind repeatedly this season and it's just a matter of time before he hurts someone.
@Hal,
I respectfully disagree with your opinion. Wait a minute, sorry I forgot where I was for a minute there. What I meant to say was Bullfuckinshit!
He hit him from the side.
Legal hit.
Not even a pen let alone a major.
cry all you want about the kostitsyn hit, but that's what you get when you play dirty and build up that kind of reputation. he repeatedly hits from behind, so if a ref thinks it might have been dirty he's going to call it everytime.
that hit and goal entirely aside, the bruins still would have one 2-1 anyways. habs had a good first period but couldn't capitalize and then they sucked the big one in the third. refs or no, they were going to loose that game.
Anonymous, from your spelling I deduce that you're either a Bruins fan of a first grader using the school computer.
"refs or no". I suppose you missed the fact that the Bruins scored twice on the PP - both time on laughable calls. Tits could have gone for 2 at the most, and breezer's penalty wouldn't have been called by the jumpy officials in my men's league. Chris Lee shouldn't ever travel North of Nashville to referee a hockey game.
Hey, let's not starting judging people by their spelling ability, shall we?
@ Perplexed RE: "Legal Hit"
Stop watching through your habs coloured glasses. When the first contact on a hit is someones numbers it's a hit from behind.
1:00 min in
Then there's this hit against Toronto
Anonymous may have troubles with capitalization and spelling, but Big Tits does have a tendency to make questionable hits in high-profile games. The time he broke McCabe's hand was one. When he slew-footed Luke Schenn on an icing call in the 6-3 loss earlier this year is another. Borderline calls are going to start going against him more and more if he doesn't cut it out, which I think I mentioned after that Leafs loss.
@ Hal: 1 minunte in? what about 30 seconds in?? Was that not a hit from behind also (Wheeler on Daggs)? Didn't it warrant a 2 minute penalty?
I was at the game last night and even the Bruins' fans sitting to my right agreed that it didn't merit a 5 minute major.
Hi Anto...
I never said that the refs officiated a great game or that that Wheelers hit on Daggs didn't warrant a penalty.
My initial comment was in respect to HabsFan29's comment of "A joke of a 5 minute penalty" and "Perplexed"'s comment of "He hit him from the side. Legal hit. Not even a pen let alone a major".
I agree with you that Wheeler could have gotten a 2 minutes for his hit on Daggs but no more than that as Daggs turned at the last moment. That's probably why it wasn't called in the first place. As for Big Tits' hit...he hit him from behind a foot or two away from the boards and he had PLENTY of time to avoid hitting Ward from behind. IMO it was the right call. Obviously you disagree.
Habs PP: 1 of 5
Bruins PP: 2 of 5
Just sayin'.
