- B's beat the Devils, and clinch the Northeast division in the process. It's not like they had any competition;
- Ottawa has now won five in a row. Hey, I'd take that;
- Flyers beat the Pens in a battle of actual decent East teams;
- Sharks beat the Avs, reclaim NHL's #1 spot.

Brodeur played horrible in that game where the Devils could have shown who's really the number 1 in the East. I wonder if he's being tossed under the bus like our poor goalies. "Oh a vet who isn't following the play properly, got his record books and now he's a bum with no confidence, trade Weekes, call up Scott Clemmensen and Jeff Frazee!" Waka waka...
Gillett needs to raise cash soon. He has until July to refinance a major loan he took out to buy Liverpool. Unfortunately banks aren't really keen on lending money these days, and he can't sell Liverpool for various reasons (there's no buyer being number one).
He has one asset that is still bringing in money and might interest a buyer...
Maybe if we pool our savings, we could buy the team.
I have $23.82
@LD - that's about what this team's worth right now.
Are our Habs in for a rimjob ?
Word Verif = sweetn
Sorry, but I still support the team. I don't care if we're going through a bad patch.
GO HABS GO!
Boob - I still support the team. But I recognize the fact that the product on the ice is beyond shitty.
Not making the playoffs would be a good reality check for these guys. If they manage to squeak in anyway, they can delude themselves that nothing is wrong all summer, which would be a fucking travesty.
We all know what's going to happen.
The Habs will lose the next two games, and then win six in a row to clinch a playoff spot and make us happy the "real" Habs are back. They'll do it with superb special teams, excellent goaltending and playing 60 minutes every night. We'll be full of confidence going into the playoffs.
Halfway through the first round, they'll go back to their old habits, pull out the series win, and then lose in four games in round 2 because they're not playing 60 minutes anymore.
I honestly think this team is going to haul it's ass out of this slump. This team has sucked ass for about 10 weeks now, and it is STILL sitting in a playoff position.
Price will get the start tomorrow and shine, perhaps stealing the victory from the red hot Thrashers (that's right). This will wake the rest of the team up, who will decide to show up against TB for a change. Then there's the Millerless Sabres - no sweat.
There we have a 3 game win streak, confidence back, finish the remaining schedule a respectable 5-2 and 98 points.
And I foresee a trip to the Eastern Final at least.
Well, take this for what it's worth since I see my word veri is:
methely
I'm torn now, part of me doesn't want them to pull out of this slump. They will screw me in my playoff pool like they've always done. If they ain't in it, I don't have to feel guilty about not picking them.
Moey:
DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, under any circumstances EVER select Habs in a playoff pool. It's just bad mojo.
