Saw Tavares play live at the WJC and that doesn't sound like a bad idea. Made som dandy defencsive plays and reminder me of Stevie Y.
Speaking of potential franchise players, I was against making a Lecavalier trade, but now I think the Habs really do need a franchise player to have a legit Cup chance. Needless to say, Kovy is not it (well, ok maybe there was some need).
Verification word is "Slogini", as in "It's going to be a long slogini towards missing the playoffs"
The next month is going to be tough on the nerves, but the Habs will make the playoffs. I think Philly has a lock - .500 hockey gives them 98 pts. The habs can finish easily with a 11-6-1 record for 98 points. Lots of home games where Halak is money. Some 'easy' teams, which they've had trouble with but will handle when it counts. I'm confident they will maintain the 5th (if not 4th) seed. Then it's a brand new season.
I'll strive to remain + for the remainder of the season. Just please only 1 more game for the Breeze and no more for Pebbles and I will be a happy camper.
Cammalleri + Jokinen + Iginla = Western Conference goalies in tears
Also... there's one player who I'm surprised didn't move at the deadline. How the fuck is Scott Clemmensen back to playing in the minors?! Weren't there like a bajillion teams looking for solid, affordable goaltending?! I understand NJ not wanting to deal him to Philly, but surely they could've gotten something from Ottawa, Buffalo, or Carolina...

Good idea! Let's lose all our remaining games for a chance to draft Tavares... you think the league would allow that...?
well said Panger!
God I love that Family Guy scene. Here's the video to really get the full effect

A brilliant recap, Panger!
LD - am loving BGL's new nickname. But isn't he more along the lines of Bam-Bam, with the intellect of Barney Rubble?
Best. Trade. Deadline. Recap. Ever.
I fucking hate the Habs. But I love this blog.
You bastards.
Hehe. That Family Guy scene cracks me up everytime.
WHY IS BRISEBOIS STILL PLAYING WHEN DANDENAULT IS IN THE PRESSBOX?
Fuck me.
Fraking Jokinen!
2 goal in only first period.
To top it off Leopold scored and the Flames are up 4-0 in Phifidelphia.
Burp!

Well, Toronto apparently doesn't want Tavares since they keep getting points, so maybe the Habs can nab him in the draft.
