Bob may need some cheering up on this 100th Anniversary Sexy Friday Game Day Skate

Bullet points for what you missed while dreaming of a naked Joanna Krupa...
  • Well there's some good news and some bad news. The bad news is the Habs may have sunk to a new low in getting outshot 15-3 in the first on the way to a 6-2 loss to the Sabres. The good news is that HabsFan4 and yours truly completely missed the game as we were attending our annual law firm Christmas reunion at an adult entertainment establishment. Well I guess that's good news really only for me and 4. Panger, you were missed;
  • Sens also give up 6 goals;
  • Time to admit even the Leafs are better than the Habs now;
  • Luongo follows up his beatdown on Marty Brodeur with a 38-save shutout;
  • Caps don't need Ovie;
  • Sid gets 3 points in the Pens 4-1 over the Avs;
  • BR has a nice little piece on Pete Mahovolich. No, really!
Happy Anniversary bitches.

So looking forward to putting this 100 year distraction behind us.

Then they can put Red Fisher back in the freezer and thaw him out again in another 100 years.

As I just said to 29 - If they don't shit the bed tonight, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Totally selfish bright side: at least I won't be thinking about the game during my concert tonight. At least the Habs total and utter fucking suckitude will be useful for me.

here's something that has nothing to do with hat you've posted or the centennial or anything of the sort, but here it is regardless:

which top 3 would you rather have?

Habs: Gomez (7.4$), Cammalleri (6$), Gionta (5$) = 18.4 million.

Hawks: Kane (6.3$), Toews (6.3$), Hossa (5.2$) = 17.8 million.

just a thought...

@LG77

Hey, I wish the game tonight was in Boston too, but it can't all be perfect can it.

Have you guys seen how Latendresse has been in Minnesota?

Great tribute to the Canadiens teams that have actually given us something to cheer about:

WV: soman, as in "Soman, do we even have a chance tonight?"

@HF10: Yes, I have. I don't know what the fuck the deal is, but the Kessel they got is not the same as the one we sent away.

I'm also dealing with Gaborik to New York, so pretty much any talented winger right now is pretty :( for me.

@ezzloharr: beat you to it.

Did they start the pre-game ceremonies yet?

Let's have a "favourite Habs memories" list.

I'll start.

1. Too many men on the ice. Me and my brother jumping up and down when Lafleur tied the game.

2. At the Forum in 1993 when we beat the Nordiques in overtime. 3rd game of the first round of the playoffs, and the start of an amazing run culminating in the cup.

3. First ever game at the Forum. We were playing the California Golden Seals. I think Carol Vadnais scored the first goal of the game.

In no particular order;

1. Overtime after overtime after overtime after overtime after overtime after overtime after overtime after overtime after overtime after overtime win.

2. Any Saturday night watching Canadiens games on La Soirée du Hockey, with my Mon Oncle Yvon, the person who introduced me to the Habs.

3. 1971 Semis.

4. The New Year's Eve game.

5. The Forum's usherettes.

... as Johnny Carson's go to commercial segment use to say ... more to come ...

Bob can't crack a smile for those boobs? Even I could forget about Scott Gomez's contract if I had those in front of me.

Happy 100 to my favorite team! Even if the current version does suck...

After tonight, it's time to let the past be the past for once and for all. Time to start building for the future. Which, despite the current sucktitude, still involves winning a Cup long before the Laffs ever do. Book it.

Best Habs memory - February-April 2008, when there was nothing better than being a Habs fans.

Naturally, it turns out that the above period was nothing but a fucking oasis in a shit-covered desert. I'm still lost at how in the name of St. Patrick a team can go from being so good to so fucking awful at the blink of an eye.

Sorry, guess I'm still stuck in HF10 rant-mode. Here's hoping it wears off when all of the ceremony bullshit is finally done.

/will always have dance-a-dix memories

I'm 20 years old. My favourite memories:

-Saku's first game back from cancer
-5-0 comeback against the Rangers
-Spring 2008 (let's be honest, they sucked until Februaryish)

That's one non-hockey event, a regular season game in which we almost got blown out, and 2 1/2 months of good hockey.
