Enough of this talking bullshit, let's play hockey. Habs-Broons Game 1 Open Thread

Put a hit of meth in her cleavage and this is my ultimate fantasy

Seriously, enough fucking bullshit analysis. You've read everything we've written over the last 4 days, there is nothing left to preview. You know the game is at 7 PM on RDS and CBC, you know the history, you know the best Bruins blogs, you don't care who is hot and not because it's a new season anyway. Maybe you care about the lineup, but you already know that it's the same as the last few weeks, with BGL on the fourth line and Dandy on D. You know who's injured. You know there can be no post-game adult entertainment, because if the Fucking Habs win you'll have too much adrenaline to focus, and if we lose you'll be to depressed to get it up.

Go hockey, go pants. Go you Fucking Habs.

When I say "enough of this talking bullshit", that was not directed at you guys. Just so we're clear.

Dammit. Montreal couldn't capitalize on a Thomas turnover behind the net.

please take BGL off the top line.

Wow, such hubris from the Broons announcers for barely winning this one. Let's face it, even if they beat us in this series, they are not going to go far in the playoffs.

Empty netter for Boston followed by a scrum.

4-2 Boston. :(

Daniel Plainview said...

FUCK YOU

Yeah you're really tough broons. Fuck you.

Boston was supposed to dominate and win in four games or fewer. Good sign for Montreal. They played well and weren't outclassed.

moeman said...

broons have no class, never have.

kevincrumbs said...

Well, at least we won't go up 2-0 on the road only to choke away four straight.

Broons announcers are crazy in praising their team so much for getting a fucking PP goal in the middle of the 3rd to salt away the game. Get real, fuckers. I know you are scared.

Daniel Plainview said...

imagine if we had Lang and Markov? these fucking Rainbows would have to chance.

orangeman said...

All 3 stars are Broons, in a close 4-2 game. Classy move, you bandwagon freaks.

Daniel Plainview said...

Jack Edwards is a piece of shit.

moeman said...

Good game thread 4HFers. Gonna bag it.

Woed Verif = phyxn, as in Habs are phyxn to make this series 1-1

Daniel Plainview said...

I think we'll take the next one. lots of positives tonight to build off of.
Remember 2004 when they fell behind 3-1 but they were outplaying the Bitches and they just didn't let go and came back? maybe that will happen here.

This game did not suck. The Habs did not suck. I am pleasantly surprised.

Bryan Driscoll said...

i've been a big supporter of breezer for the last 2 years, but goddamn, when can we get markov and cube back?!

haha by the way my word verification is 'bruinsfuckingsuck' go figure

Melly said...

Post-game interviews near the Bruins dressing-room, you can hear them whooping it up like they just won the Eastern Conference final.

Cocks.

kevincrumbs said...

@kristin: Haha, that's what our centennial has come down to.

South Shore Habs Fan said...

Decent game. Wtf @ penalties, though. Hits from behind go completely uncalled, but every single cross-check and hook gets called? Weird. If that penalty isn't called, it's a 3-2 Habs OT victory.

Lots of players had pretty good games. I think MadMax and Pleks were the only two who disappointed me tonight. I didn't think Max would let me down =(

Tangy on the 4th line was weird. At least put him on the french-connection line, or with Pleks and AK46. I won't complain too much, though, because they scored.

Can we PLEASE get Weber in this lineup ASAP? Breezer was frigging awful as the game wore on, and I doubt Weber's checks could be any less effective.

Whatever. Good game to build off of, and it'll certainly put some doubt in the Bruins' minds (or whatever it is that occupies their cranial space).

@kevincrumbs Just gotta keep our expectations low. Not sucking feels great!

Melly said...

I'm watching the replay of the end-of-game scrum on TSN ... Duthie and Dreger saying based on the Carcillo case, we might have some punishment coming our way. Kostopoulos for an attempted elbow, Komisarek for eye-gouging.

Daniel Plainview said...

I turned it off as the empty netter went in. I didn't see the scrum and i didn't see those losers whooping it up in the dressing room after. fucking losers.

South Shore Habs Fan said...

@ Melly
Komi for eye-gouging? Dennis LaRue can miss a stick to the eyeball that results in an injury mid-ice while Koivu is on a partial breakaway, but he can somehow pick up on an attempted eye-gouging in the middle of a freaking scrum?

Bullshit if true.

Daniel Plainview said...

and it would be rich considering the stunts that shaved gorilla and asshole played last Thursday.
The fact that that jerk off still has a job after missing that high stick is astounding considering what it took to force Van hellemand into retirement.

Bryan Driscoll said...

yeah i saw the kosto elbow happen and im kinda expecting a suspension. but stewie or sergei could get in then. no big loss.

kevincrumbs said...

I'd like to see a suspension for Breezer and possibly AK46 and Pleks.

Daniel Plainview said...

so Weber in for the wet noodle Breeze?

South Shore Habs Fan said...

If suspensions are indeed coming down, I think we'll see Weber and O'Byrne in for Komi and Breeze, and Sergei in for Kostop.

Fuck. A scrum after the game is over? really, guys?

lawyergirl77 said...

Breezer was his usual brutal self.

Pleky?

He's not a zombie anymore. He's the fucking BLACK HOLE OF HOCKEY.

you know why we had some good momentum in the 2nd and 3rd?

CAUSE HE WAS FUCKING BENCHED.

FUCK.

Broons are going to come out THUNDERING on Saturday. We're fucked.

lawyergirl77 said...

I think the reason why I'm really pissed off right now is because these assholes gave me hope that they were going to win... and then they didn't.

The Habs are seriously the world's biggest cock teasers. They promise greatness, but it's all flash and no follow through. They get your hopes up, and then finally that's all that gets up.

ARRRRRGH!

Yeah, this is really going to help my insomnia...

South Shore Habs Fan said...

So yeah... when's Markov coming back?

Btw, if you don't think the Habs have the worst luck EVER, I did a little research (the game is over, so I needed a new excuse to avoid studying)

The following are the 16 playoff teams, how many injuries they currently have, and the number of regular-season points they had. In other words, how many points are each of these teams missing from their lineup:

Anaheim - 2 injuries - 6 pts
Boston - 2 injuries - 29 pts
Calgary - 5 injuries - 51 pts
Carolina - 0 injuries - 0 pts
Chicago - 1 injury - 2 pts
Columbus - 3 injuries - 37 pts
Detroit - 2 injuries - 30 pts
Montreal - 4 injuries - 135 ptsNew Jersey - 1 injury - 0 pts (backup goalie)
New York Rangers - 1 injury - 56 pts
Philadelphia - 2 injuries - 3 pts
Pittsburgh - 1 injury - 6 pts
San Jose - 2 injuries - 6 pts
St Louis - 4 injuries - 22 pts
Vancouver - 1 injury - 19 pts
Washington - 4 injuries - 10 pts

That's more than twice as many points than the next-closest team. The average, excluding us, was 18.5 points missing. We're missing SEVEN TIMES as many points as the average playoff team.

tl;dr The hockey gods hate us.

fezworth said...

That wasn't quite what I had in mind.

Holy Flannel said...

All in all a good effort by the Habs, I honestly think Gainey outcoached Julien.

I think the Habs have put a seed of doubt in the minds of the Bruins. Minus Price forgetting how to freeze a fucking puck on the first goal and the usually spotless Gorges taking a useless penalty on the third goal, and we win this game.

There's hope! No way is this series ending in 4 or 5 games!

word verif=grabs ..... Holy shit, run away, it's a bad omen!

South Shore Habs Fan said...

@ Holy Flannel
Delete the post, delete the post!

That first goal was bullshit, the refs have their whistles to their mouths even before Thomas even touches the puck, yet Krejci and Kobasew get to poke at Price for a few seconds? Bullshit.

Word verification: "patin". J'espère que Bouillon va porter ses patins cette série.
